Luke led Luna through the front doors of The ∇ri∆ngle with a calm smile. The security officer outside gave Luke a surprised look, but it wasn't anything the techy seemed to notice. As they walked through the blacklit entry hall, the boy would give her the same introductory spiel he gave Mike. The story of how he had been looking for a place to decompress, how he'd been welcomed by The Bartender, and how he now had a mutual beneficial relationship with the man, getting jobs and such from him. Once actually inside, there were a few whistles directed towards Luna, mostly joking in nature it seemed. Regardless, Luke flipped them the bird all the same. It was apparent that the sight of Luke with a woman was a pretty unique occurrence, something that a few of the regulars took interest in. However, a young girl with similar features to the Bartender would appear almost out of thin air and give them a bat. Speaking of the Bartender, Luke called out to him as he took his seat, handing off some gold in exchange. "The usual, please."
"Oh, this is Luna. She's an old friend of mine, it looks like she'll be staying in Hurricane Keep now. Treat her well." The Bartender's eye gleamed in slight amusement, but nothing else showed on his deadpan features. The man set to work getting Luke's order, while the young techy patted the bar-stool next to himself, motioning for the girl to take a seat. "I have to admit, I love showing my friends this place. But that's probably because I come here so often."
When the Bartender returned with Luke's drink, he slid Luna a menu and head into the back to get Luke's Nacho's. The black haired boy hummed a bit as he took a sip of his Ruby Special, seeming content with it.
The music thumped in the background, as other patrons went about their business. At one table, a gruff looking man laughed with a pretty woman. At another, a lone patron quietly stared into their drink. For the most part, the bottom floor was a lot more tame than the other floors, especially the roof. For Luke and Luna, they had the bar all to themselves.
"I'm gonna tell you the same thing I told my buddy Mike-" Luke waved his hand around, not looking towards the girl as he spoke. "Before you ask about work or anything else, you gotta buy somethin'. Doesn't have to be a meal, doesn't have to be insane, but don't skimp out on your first buy. My reputation can only carry your bitch ass so far."
At the last comment, Luke grinned and looked towards Luna out of the corner of his eye. his silver gaze gleamed with mischief. Unsurprisingly, the techy was making sure to enjoy himself. Even if it meant that he might end up getting hit later on.
Worth it.
Still, without saying anything, Luke slid Luna a stack of gold. Paying for her without actually paying for her, it seemed. Of course, the boy didn't know how much she had to her name, but he also wanted her to be able to treat herself. So, this one was on him.
The Bartender returned with Luke's food, sliding it over to him silently. The young man flashed him the shaka sign, and tossed one of the chips into his mouth. Should he have waited a bit for them to cool? Sure, but he never was known to think things through like that. As Luke suffered from the intense heat of piping hot cheese melting his tongue with the fury of a thousand suns, the Bartender turned his gaze to the young lady, notepad in hand. "Tell me, young miss, what can I get for you?" That was more than the Bartender had ever said towards Mike when they first met, but there seemed to be a bit more interest from the old man now. Given Luke's... interesting personality, it wasn't hard to figure out that there was a lot of intrigue in him suddenly appearing in the club with a beautiful young woman in tow.
This was like seeing a live unicorn for the first time.
The Bartender especially showed some curiosity towards their relationship just due to the simple fact of Luke being... well... Luke. An example could be given, but with how the young tech head was currently killing himself via hot cheese... it was safe to say that the boy was giving a solid one already. "Man, gotta love em fresh out th' oven, eh?" The young man stated after he finally calmed down. The Bartender quirked a brow in the black haired boy's direction, watching with quiet amusement as he learned absolutely nothing from his previous experience and just dove right the fuck back into suffering. The kid really was a glutton for punishment...
And yet the Bartender was a master at completely ignoring the scene. Now, here was the real question; Was that just practiced from dealing with patrons or was this a Luke exclusive resilience. the world may never know. All shenanigans aside, the man's green eye studied the young woman quietly as he waited to see what she would do.

Luna reflected the look at the security guard, a kind of look of 'what do you want'. "Wow, people here have such manners. They know a lady when they see one.", she said with a half-sarcastic tone in her voice. Either they were oggling Luna, 'congratulating' Luke, or both. Who knew? Who cares. Luna just kept following Luke, eyeing the aesthetics. They were pretty nice actually. She took a seat on the barstool, giving the bartender a silent salute when Luke had introduced her to him. She looked at Luke with a dangerous light in her eye. "You mean your bitch ass can carry my reputation so far. Please, I know how to make my way around things, don't have to worrying about wittew ow' mwee." There she went again, doing that same cutesy speak thing. Luna flipped through the menu, listening to Luke speak with a song in his voice about bringing friends here and whatever. "Maybe you're also just a giant fucking nerd." The faunus watched Luke slide her some gold. And in that very instant, she stared at him, not breaking eye contact and brought out a satchel that was filled with gold. Did she fucking stutter when she said he didn't have to worry. "Can I try some of the Jarl Beast Kababs with some fries on the side? And uhhh..." She looked over the drinks quickly. "A strawberry banana smoothie please, sir." She sounded so formal, it was probably weird for Luke. Luna turned back to the boy, a grin on her face. "Dating hint one, if you're going to treat a girl, do it right.", she said while sliding the gold he gave her back and flicking his forehead. She settled back to her seat and flicked her hair back, the white stained in colours of magenta and blue. "You're still the same on food. A slut for heat, both flavour and temperature. If I didn't know any better, I'd think you'd try to eat a flame from a candle." But Luke wasn't that stupid, right? ...RIGHT???

"If they think you're a lady, then they need to get outside more." Luke stated nonchalantly. "I can see someone mistaking you for a rabid animal of some kind, but a lady? They'd have to have some pretty bad eyesight. And bitch please, I know what I said. The little reputation you do have boils down to 'That one girl with a fetish for kicking people in the nads.'"
The young tech-head took a sip of his Ruby Special, as Luna made yet another quip. Oh really now? Without skipping a beat, he shot back. "Maybe you're just a loser."
He shrugged. Life was full of mysteries, wasn't it? But what was certain was that Luke didn't even bat an eye when Luna put down her satchel. Instead, he just continued to slide it towards her, even going as far as to continuously nudge the stack against her hand. Did the boy give any indication that he gave a fuck how much money she had on her? No? Then why the fuck was she acting like it? He was spotting for a friend, it's just a polite thing to do when you're showing someone a new place. And if Luna still didn't take the gold stack after all that prodding, then guess what, he was just going to lift it up and... casually stack it atop her head. Just to see how long the girl could balance it before they all toppled and collapsed atop her like a metal hailstorm.
Fuck your satchel. The techy thought adamantly.
For his part, the Bartender was completely unfazed by these shenanigans. With the skill only a professional could muster, he ignored what was happening and just wrote Luna's order down. Not breaking eye contact. Not shifting his expression. Not giving any attention to anyone but the patron he was currently waiting on. The Bartender didn't even bat an eye the whole time the techy continued to pester and prod the girl. When the man left to prepare Luna's food, and the girl slid the gold back over to Luke, the boy would give it a look. Followed by a glare as his forehead was given a soft 'thwip' when the faunus flicked it.
The young man rubbed the mark with an offended expression plastered over his features. "Listen, I appreciate the sentiment, but I don't think you have much of a leg to stand on in the dating game compared to me. Tell me, how many significant others have you had? Zero? Fuckin' ace brother. Check check, real fuckin' bangarang snag on the big score."
For those a little less versed in the typical speech patterns of a wild Lost Boy, the translation is as follows; "Good job friend. Got it/understood/noted, super awesome work on that achievement."
Luke paused as he turned to take a sip of his drink. His silver gaze shot over to look at Luna from the corner of his eye, meeting her gaze. Without any sliver of hesitation, he would point a gloved finger at her. "I'll fuckin' do it, don't test me. You know I would too."
Now, to be fair, Luke could always do without literally burning his mouth. The problem was that his level of self control was so low it was functionally non-existent. Should he have waited longer for them to cool off? Of course, and he knew that. But was he going to wait? No, of course not. And he certainly wasn't going to blow on them to cool them off like some little pussy bitch. It was either wait a little bit and be rational or hate himself for a few minutes just for a quick food fix. Actually on second thought maybe the options should have been worded differently.
Fuck.
The black haired boy just turned his attention back to his drink, trying his best to keep his attention off how Luna's hair looked in the light before she noticed. It was almost mesmerizing how it seemed to glow in the colored lights. Thankfully enough, The Bartender soon returned with Luna's food, giving him a chance to redirect his attention elsewhere.
"Definitely landed one of the best platters here." The techy noted. But... as good as the food was, that wasn't the primary reason they came here, so after clearing his throat, Luke continued. "Anyways, Luna here is looking for work somewhere. I was hoping you could offer some suggestions."
The man didn't seem too surprised by that request, and just as easily as he had taken Luna's order, he turned to the white haired girl and pulled out a notepad. "Tell me, what are your skills and experience?"

"Luke, your words wound me.", she said with an overdramatic sweep of her arm that ended with the back of her wrist pressed against her forehead. To emphasize her point, she even turned the stool around so she was leaning back on the counter. A purple eye popped open to look back at Luke, a little smile tugging at her lips. When that was said and done, Luna sat up and swiveled back so she could rest her arms on the counter. "Seriously though. Even if I've never gone out with someone, I know my standards and general acts of consideration.", she crossed her arms and huffed out a sigh. Jokes aside, a girl knew what she wanted. Guys are just so dense. Especially a particular dumb looking, silver eyed techy sitting right next to her. The moment Luke started about the spicy hot patch, Luna slammed a fist on the counter to taunt him. "you won't, you're too much of a pussy bitch!", she said with a wider grin on her face this time matched up with a mischeivous glint to match Luke's attitude. Oh how she missed moments like these. With someone as dumb as Luke around, it's a good time when you can do THIS shit right here. She shook her head, though the smile on her face knew it wasn't anything more than a mere nod to the sillyness she was once familiar with. When Luke mentioned a job, the smile kind of vanished. And by kind of, I mean Luna just got hit with a curveball. She immediatelly looked towards the Bartender when he prompted her. "Well uh, I'm good at talking with people and um.. I'm uh..." Now wasn't the time to be drawing blanks, but here we are. I'm pretty physically active, so I'd like to work something that will keep me on my feet rather than sitting behind a desk and getting fat enough to suffocate Luke." Luna pondered whether or not she should show the Bartender her favoured skill, with Luke as the test dummy. Nah. Nahhhhh, probably wouldn't look too good on her. "I'm pretty strong too. I can fight and stuff, or just lift really heavy things if needed." Of course, she could also use her magic to the best of her ability to help too. The way her hands were together, fingers rubbing over her knuckles. She was suddenly nervous. Did she actually have more qualities that would put her in better standing and she was just blanking, or was that it?

In response to Luna's outburst, Luke would counter by slamming his own fist on the counter with equal vigor as he exclaimed. "Fuckin' TRY me, hoe. I'll bet fuckin' money on that." As though to emphasize his point, he pulled out a handful of gold and slapped it down. He'd clear his throat and sit back after a few unamused looks from the bartender. Fun as it was, they had more important things to worry about than being public embarrassments. The young techy would listen as Luna gave the quick and dirty explanation of her skills, thankful that she was at least taking it somewhat seriously. The girl was a bit nervous, but at least she took it in stride.
Though the fat comment was a bit weird given it targeted him for no reason, she at least kept it serious enough. It was far better than when Mike had been asked the same question. The redhead had been... too vague, and didn't turn of his "bro-ish" nature when he spoke about his own skills. Luna at least had the good grace to treat it properly. There was a slight moment where relief flashed in Luke's silver gaze as Luna finished up, happy that she didn't make an ass out of herself. I should have more faith in her than that. Hell, we were both pretty much raised by the same guy.
Still. The girl was a wildcard at times.
The Bartender wrote down all the information she gave quietly, and wordlessly disappeared into the back room. After a few moments, the man would return and place a manila folder infront of the white haired lass, filled with an assortment of job applications. Many were grouped together with extra information by paperclips, linking them to information on what they were, where they were, what sort of requirements they looked for, and so on. Where-as, some just had sticky notes slapped onto them with the bare minimum. All were organized neatly by pay. The lower paying ones were simply just minimum wage jobs working as an apprentice or store clerks, just common grunt work that at least kept to Luna's wish of keeping mobile, while the higher paying ones ranged from bounties, guard positions, bank tellers, and a small selection of more laborious manual tasks in the construction business.
Most of the highest paying jobs required years of experience and a formal school education, but while they were included, they were likely to be the hardest to have a shot at. The jobs that really stood out were a few positions working security for a few different businesses, guard detail for a traveling merchant, a courier job with positions both working internally in the city and travelling externally to deliver packages, and a couple positions at the ∇ri∆ngle itself.
For the security job, it paid fairly decently, but seemed to be more of a lax job, just watching the place to make sure no one stole. The benefits were decent, vacation days were minimal, hours seemed to vary, but other than that it seemed like an easy gig.
Meanwhile, on the guard detail, the pay was much higher than the previous job with better benefits, but vacation days were almost nonexistent save for the bare minimum and due to travel frequency, hours spanned days to weeks, with festival events being higher paying but also more intensive. Good for someone who wanted to travel, bad for someone who wanted to settle in.
The courier job was much more reliable compared to the others, with decent benefits, standardized and comfortable hours while working internally in the city. Weekends were kept off, and vacation days were moderate, but better than the prior offerings. Pay was slightly lower due the low risk environment. Traveling outside is when it became a bit more muddled, and hours were obviously dependent on distance. Benefits were slightly better to match the risk, but vacation days were cut slightly. To suit potential travel time, weekends were kept open as a precaution, but were left as off-days when not on the road.
Finally, The ∇ri∆ngle offered two positions working as either waitress of in the back as an assistant chef. Both jobs had equal benefits to the courier job, with hours set and divided by either night or day shift. Pay was only a few gold pieces higher than the courier job, and workers were allowed two days off a week. Number of vacation days remained between the security job and local courier job. Festival days promised longer hours, but higher than normal pay, and working as a waitress would keep her moving. The real bonus in Luna's case would be that her favorite idiot was a regular. Outside the actual stable and safe jobs, many bounties were slipped in for the adventurous, promising high pay for those who completed them. Mostly monster hunting gigs and chasing off bandits, but the pay fit the risk. The real downside was that, obviously, just taking bounties didn't have the stability of a regular job, so it was an obvious risk/reward situation. But for the skilled, the rewards would likely outweigh the risks. And hell, no one saying one couldn't take a bounty here and there while working a regular nine-to-five. Always nice having a bit of spending money.
The Bartender would leave Luna to browse the folder, catering to a few other patrons. For Luke's part, he also left the girl alone to think it all over. Really, though, the techy was just hoping she didn't pick something that would put her in harms way. Defensive? Maybe. Protective? Probably. But he didn't like the thought of losing a friend. Hope could only get the boy so far, however, and if she decided to go for glory, there wasn't much he could do to stop her. She better not get herself killed.

"I'll sooner see you in the gods damn ER than the shitter if you do.", she said at Luke before turning and looking through the folder handed to her from the Bartender. She went through the fliers, reading through her options. She sorted them in two piles: boring and interesting. In the interesting pile were the apps for small bounties and the waitress position at the Triangle, not that Luke needed to know what she'd pick. Of course, she might need to talk hours though between shifts and bounties but again that would be at a time where Luke wasn't going to be a mother hen Io copy.

After watching the girl look over everything for a time, The Bartender seemed to pick up on the girl's hesitance, and with a downright terrifying level of understanding, he would vanish into the back and return with a paper. This time, for Luke.
The young techy would have finished his food and drink by now, and after a trip to the bathroom to wash his hands clean, he returned in time to receive this mysterious paper. The techy gave a grumble and a groan, but looked it over none-the-less, seemingly mulling it all over.
"Alright, alright. Yeah, fine. Tell the client that I'll be there in a couple minutes." The boy pulled out a slip of paper and began jotting down notes, continuing to grumble under his breath. "Here, I have a house call I have to go too. Now, I don't know how long you'll be, but head to this address when you're done. It's a shop nearby the market area I go to sometimes. Called The Iron Slug. if I'm not there waiting for you and I don't arrive in five minutes, go to this address instead. It's my apartment. I'm on the third floor, room thirty-three. Here's a key."
Luke dug around in his pocket, and pulled out a spare key. After some hesitance, and checking the page over again, the boy sighed and set it down next to Luna. "Sorry I have to bounce like this. But, hey, good luck man. And... hopefully I can get this done before you. I was hopin' to show you my place instead of...-" Luke shuddered "-... giving you free roam."
Truly a nightmare.
Regardless, the black haired techy bounced out, leaving Luna to her own devices while he left to take care of business. The Bartender watched silently, waiting a few moments, and then turning back to the young woman. "I noticed your reluctance to discuss work matters with him around. I hope it wasn't rude of me to assist?"
Sly fucker.
The Bartender leaned over slightly, glancing at the piles of papers Luna had sorted, then straightened back up. "I take it you know what places you're interested in? If required, I can always offer a good word."
Hearing the man talk was... definitely weird. Especially with how little he'd said thus far. His voice wasn't... bad... but it was low, and showed definite signs of wear. Maybe from years of shouting. Maybe from years of disuse. The question remained unanswered. Either way, he motioned towards the piles, wordlessly offering to remove the applications Luna didn't require.

Luna seemed to notice the Bartender's subtle notion of assistance. She was kind of glad, knowing how Luke would worry if she went for some of the ballsy jobs. "Thanks mister. Really convenient you have those stacked up just to drive him away like that though." Luna looked at the stack that she seemed way more interested in to double check and make sure if these were the jobs that she wanted. "I think for like, a breather job, I'd like to apply as a waitress for this place. But I wanted to talk hours so I can take a few bounties for some of the good sh- stuff out there. Y'know? Probably won't happen a ton, but it'll satisfy the need for adventure." She was hoping that she could get the job here. Place was nice, Bartender man was cool as fuck. He was really good at being more than a guy running a bar. Plus, it'll help me learn to cook and stuff if that's okay." The faunus scratched the back of her head. She hoped she didn't seem too ambitious or really like too over the top in wanting to be useful or anything. "I mean, not that I don't know how to cook but I want to be able to cook better. But also being a waitress would be so funny because then it would send Luke in a tizzy."

"Everyone needs something done. Isn't difficult to find something." The bartender mused, polishing a drink glass. The bartender would continue to listen to Luna speak, not seeming surprised in the slightest, as though he'd known what she was going to pick all along. His typically emotionless expression cracked slightly, mouth twitching up into a small, barely noticeable grin. A sound escaped, a brief, single noise halfway between a grunt and a chuckle. The closest the man could come to laughter.
"Alright..." The bartender set down the glass, and leaned against the counter, single eye studying the girl. "... Typically I'd make an appointment for an interview first. But just because you have a point with Luke, I think I'll cut you some slack. So let's talk hours."
The bartender gave a grunt, and pulled out a thin, hardcover book, bound in high quality leather. A silver delta symbol on it's cover appeared to glow pink in the club's light. The man thumbed through the pages, and set it down. Without any real flair, the man would also present a fancy pen, and tap the tip to the page.
"You've obviously read the description, so you know the hourly pay rates. Seeing as I get bounty requests routinely, I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to slip you something here and there, and still count you as working under me, so your working days won't have to be shifted around much. The ∇ri∆ngle would take a twelve percent cut of your earning, as you'd be still working for us. All that really matters right now is when you wish to start, and what days you'd rather have off." The bartender circled a few things and shifted the book over to Luna, tapping the page to show what he'd circled. "Now, you can take the standard two days, work a more balanced shift, interspersed with you acting on some bounties for me. Or, you can take three days. You'd be working later on night shifts if you want to make the same pay, but you'd have another day for personal use. That can be taking a bounty under your own name so the rewards wouldn't be cut, though it really doesn't matter much."
The Bartender handed her the pen and gave her a nod. "Look at what suits you better, fill it out, then I can get you a small chunk of paperwork to read and sign and we can see about you getting started."

Luna picked up a stick and pulled off a chunk of meat to give herself some time to think a bit while the man talked. She gave a nod at the food, good shit right there. Fuckin good shit, DAMN. She took another bit, taking a piece of bell pepper off and crunching on it quietly. She plucked a napkin and wiped her hands. Three days was nice. Actually, it was along the lines of her thinking anyways. She picked up the pen, filling out her information. Name, yeah she had one. Age, scribbled that down. Sex? She wished. Oh wait it meant uhhh, yeah she had one of those things. Now these answers you're reading are clearly for comedic purposes. She's actually filling out the form properly. Please, who did you think she was? Luke? She finished filling the form, leaving the paper and pen a little further down the table from her food so the grease didn't splash onto it when she finally got to actually dig into that sweet sauce-drenched goodness.

The bartender waited ever so patiently, tending to other patrons or washing glasses. He seemed to be inhumanly good at multi-tasking, which was either from years of practice or was just yet another supernatural trait the man had under his belt. Dude was enough of a mystery already, so it's not like anyone was going to find out soon. Coincidentally though, whiled Luna worked on filling it all out, a certain black haired techy would feel as though someone made a subtle jab at him, but would lack any idea of how to really... deal with it.
Still, for some reason, and it should be restated that he really didn't know why, he felt like he should be upset with a certain... annoying white haired faunus. But all that would have to come later.
For the time being, when said [annoying] white haired faunus was finished with her application, the bartender would whisk it away and scan it over with his one good eye. For the most part, the man seemed pleased with it. But, then again, it was hard to really tell. At least he didn't just crumple it up and throw it away. How he actually felt about that would be left up in the air for a few minutes, though, as the man slipped back into the kitchen, giving just barely enough time to let the air settle in an uncomfortable way. In the background, the bar was the same as ever. Patrons talking, drinking, gambling, just generally enjoying the night life. Through the new found silence, the subtle thrumming of the club up top could be heard going off.
Finally, the man returned, handing Luna a small stack of documents and a fancier than normal pen.
"There's no uniform to worry about, as long as the clothes are clean. Standard social ground rules. No nudity, no weapons while on the job, no heavy armor in the club, shoes required, no sandles, flip flops, so on. If a patron touches you, you're allowed to hit them back, otherwise I'll handle it. No headphones, no chewing gum, two twenty minute breaks, free lunch under fifteen g total, no alcoholic beverages while on the job." The Bartender calmly leaned over the counter as he continued. "You're allowed to mess with Luke only as long as you don't chase him away from the premises. Rough as he may be, he brings in good business."
"When you finish signing those, we can talk scheduling." With that, The Bartender pulled away and returned to tending to the other patrons, allowing Luna to take her dear sweet time. Though, in the background, between customers, the young lady currently working was also taking a few curious peaks at the new hire, which also attracted the attention of a few of the more observant patrons as well. Needless to say, this was a bit of an interesting sight for many, especially given the fact that the staff has been essentially just the pair up until this point.

"Yep, sounds pretty reasonable.", she said. Standard stuff. Didn't mean the old man wasn't obligated to say it though. That was the norm. Of course those policies were going to be said so if she did fuck it up, they weren't liable for not telling her. Now on the point with Luke... "Sir, I've known Luke since we were kids. I know most of his buttons and ticks, outside of any recent ones he's gotten. But knowing him, I don't think it's too many to figure out." In other words, she's got this. Luna didn't seem to notice people glancing or staring at her. Of course, it helps that there was a stack of papers to go through and delicious fuckin food to eat and being careful not to get remnants of said food on the stack of papers and all that jazz. Maybe she should uh, wash her hands off instead of licking her fingers clean before even touching those papers. The faunus awkwardly waved a hand in the air for the bartender or his daughter to come over. "Where uh... Where is the bathroom?"

With the Bartender preoccupied, it was the young woman who came to Luna's aid. Her long, flowing blond hair shimmered in a unique manner in the light of the club, but her beaming smile could scarcely be disguised. "Hey, sorry about that, the bathroom is down that hallway to your left. It's a push door so as long as you don't put your hands on it, you don't have to worry about getting anything messy."

"Alright, thanks!" Luna got up, holding her arms up like a furry velociraptor thing and made her way to the bathroom. Her palms faced towards her chest so that way she didn't have to worry about scrubbing down that door later, or the bartender's daughter or the man himself doing that for her. It'd leave a bad impression! Luna washed her hands and then after drying them, took a little time to fix up her hair. Well, she couldn't really do much of that without a brush or something, sweeping it back and making sure stray strands were moved behind her shoulders was the best she could do. The faunus just stood in front of the mirror and sighed. What a wild ride in the last few days. Reconnecting with a certain nerd boy and now she's landed a job and everything to get settled. Hopefully she didn't fuck things up. She knew that she'd take some time getting used to the flow of things, but all Luna cared about was that her mistakes weren't severe enough to get her fired the next day. Of course, first things first, she actually needed to go and sign those papers. She made her way out the bathroom and back to the bar area where her mostly finished meal was along with the stack of papers she needed to sign. Flipping through the stack of papers she saw there needed to be a signature here, signature there, company policy, yada yada. She skimmed through most of the first page and stopped herself. No, she needed to do this right, which meant doing the thing literally no one else does. She stopped and read the entire document before signing. It'd take a while for sure, but there's no room for fuckups. Not today.

The Bartender studied Luna in secret, making notes of how she handled the paperwork. The man already hired her, but how long that might last was definitely dependent on how seriously the girl took this. As he saw her skim lazily through, his hopes definitely weren't high. But then a spark.
The girl stopped herself. Took her time. Actually read through it all. Now, The Bartender knew how drab paperwork was, and he didn't always expect everyone to read the whole thing- as long as they put in enough effort to "try," it was usually acceptable. Case and point, the young DJ up on the roof. However, the white haired faunus actually muscled through the nine or so, dense pages of forms, regulations, legal jargon, etc. Luna had originally had his curiosity, but now she had his attention and confidence. If all of Luke's home town friends were this dedicated, then perhaps The Bartender should convince the boy to bring some more around sometime.
When Luna finished, the old man was there to accept the packet, as though appearing out of thin air. The Bartender already knew that it was all good, accepting it was just a formality. Luna had already made her impression upon him, so there was nothing else to be considered. But, the old warrior had one last question to ask the young lady. "When do you want to start?"
