"Two months is bad. A lot can happen in those two months. I'll lose whatever combat knowledge I've carried. I'll start losing what little muscle I have and my stamina. I'll grow much, much weaker in those two months." Araphi argued. She had just gone from being a prisoner to being a prisoner to her own injuries. It filled her with a disgusted feeling, upset at herself and the world overall for doing this to her.
She paused when she was asked about the amount of people present. "I don't know. It was so long ago and I was very young when it happened. I don't think I was older than three when it happened. However many there were, I don't know, nor do I even know the specifics of me being removed. I just know I was removed and Velvine wants me dead now." She explains. More images of her torment-filled past flashed through her mind, causing her wince and turn her head away from Ember.
"During the fight with Velvine, I know there will be no time to stop and recover. It is either I win, I die, she flees or I flee like a coward. I need to figure out how to work through pain. She'll easily kill me otherwise and I cannot let that happen." Araphi replies, anger festering in her chest. She felt useless and she hated that feeling. She just wanted to put an end to Velvine and for that to be that. To have to wait and carry her scars longer frustrated her.

[smear:#F70021]"Believe me, you don't lose the experience. That rust isn't based on memory memory. It's muscle memory."[/smear:#FFD500:0] Ember said. [smear:#F70021]"You'll still remember stuff, it's just getting used to doing it again."[/smear:#FFD500:0] Though if Araphi didn't have much experience from the start, she didn't really have much to lose. [smear:#F70021]"Don't worry about it. We can help you recover and train up and stuff. You'll be fine."[/smear:#FFD500:0] Though that wasn't a promise Araphi was going to get anyone official to enter the fire realm with her. She'd need to gather her own party that wasn't part of a force. Likely, she would need to gather willing adventurers who would want to try to get into and traverse the fire realm.
Ember raised a brow in question. Araphi was banished as a mere baby? But she's older than that now. She knew fire demons didn't age that fast, nor would a baby be able to survive injuries like this. [smear:#F70021]"...They couldn't have banished you all that time ago and have you grow up and survive through a planar rift. You'd die that young."[/smear:#FFD500:0] Maybe she meant when they decided to. But even then, why banish her if they wanted her gone? Infanticide would have been a faster solution if they really deemed her a problem. There had to be more to it than that to leave matters this loose and complicated. But... That wasn't Ember's business or her responsibility. She might bring it up with Fire Lord Pyrion, but other than that... There likely wouldn't be much for them to do since that's politics that don't involve the fire god.
Ember gently put a hand on Araphi's arm, careful of her injuries. [smear:#F70021]"Then the first thing you need to do is rest and heal. When you're well enough to get moving, let's get sparring."[/smear:#FFD500:0]

"I don't have any muscle memory built up. I've never been able to actually train. All that I have learned is from the last few days when I was captive. I just don't want to forget it for it helped me escape." She says, grumbling something under her breath about hating being stuck like this. She had just escaped from a hellish prison and now here she was, stuck in a bed to constantly endure the pain of her injuries until they healed. Araphi felt like she hadn't even escaped, that she was just back at square one. "...Speaking of such matters, where is that chain I had? I was rather fond of that weapon." The demoness asks, her tone shifting from her rather upset one to a softer one.
She let out a short sigh, which in retrospect was a bad idea from the flare up in her lungs. "From what I know, when I was born, Velvine decided she didn't want me and cast me out under the care of some guy. Then she decided I was a threat to her power and now she wants to kill me. That's it. I don't know how I'd be a threat or why killing me is the better option, but it's the path she has taken and now it's the path I have." She explained in a hopefully more clear manner to Ember. She hated thinking about why she was even in this mess.
Araphi flinched and tried to move away when she was touched. She glared at Ember when she was touched, a hint of fear in her eyes from the contact, "...Great. No matter what, I'm stuck here in this bed, aren't I? I hate everything."

[smear:#F70021]"..Well if you don't have muscle memory built up, you don't have all that much to lose right now, do you?"[/smear:#FFD500:0], Ember said. Araphi was making a fuss over something she didn't have. [smear:#F70021]"Working in moderation and healing while resting is one of the biggest things so you don't handicap yourself."[/smear:#FFD500:0] Araphi's current mind tracked in a way that was basically suicide.
[smear:#F70021]"Chain...?"[/smear:#FFD500:0] Ember exchanged glances with the nurse. [smear:#F70021]"Oh... that..."[/smear:#FFD500:0] She seemed to recall something. [smear:#F70021]"It looks like it broke and one end is a mess of slag from your fall. It's... not super usable right now."[/smear:#FFD500:0] Unless Araphi knew how to work metal in a molten state and remake it herself. Though with how little training Araphi seemed to mention having, she had some doubts.
Ember walked over and leaned against a wall next to Araphi's bed. [smear:#F70021]"Sounds like some prophecy level shit to me."[/smear:#FFD500:0] Else this was a real obscure abortion process. [smear:#F70021]"But if you're kept in the dark about this, I really doubt anyone else outside her personal council knows the reason behind it. I doubt even Lord Pyrion knows, it's more a personal affair at that point."[/smear:#FFD500:0]
