[[Champion] - Valour]

[smear:#7B678A]"Oh yeah, kids love candy! Suckers for sugar! It's really sweet and kids like sweet things."[/smear:#47337D:0] Admittedly, part of growing up meant expanding past sweets to an extent. Some people still have a disgusting sweet tooth and craft it, but that's okay too.[smear:#7B678A] "Can't say I tried counting how many kids I see eating candy, but I know it's almost all of them and especially during celebrations."[/smear:#47337D:0], he said, cupping his chin and thinking on it some more. 

His train of thought broke when she responded with the thought of signs.[smear:#7B678A] "Well.. Yes and no. You're already hard enough to see from the doorway when I walked in."[/smear:#47337D:0], he said, scratching the back of his head. [smear:#7B678A]"Plus, the signs saying what you're selling would at least have people see what you have. On the outside, it looks pretty bare and most people won't look into an empty space unless they're trying to do something in secret."[/smear:#47337D:0] 

[Tyrian]

"Huh. I guess I neverw thwought of childwen as a potential customer." Candy responded, "I never do go out a wot, so I don't weally see what's going on outside." The shop keeper primarily kept her focus on her craft, though on occasion would turn her green-eyed gaze back up at Valour. "I don't knyow a lot about the celebwations here, though sometimes I see them going on outside the door."

"I don't weally have a whole wot to put into the extra space." Candy continued, looking around the store, "All I have is this wittle stand and my candy kit. I don't have anything cool to setup, like those fancy displays you see in some stores." On that note, the little... thing walked out from behind the counter and over to Valour, "What's wong with the signs? I thought I did a good job on them. They have pwices and everything."

[[Champion] - Valour]

Valour stood there a moment and blinked. She had aspirations and that was good and all but that wouldn't be enough to have a successful shop. [smear:#7B678A]"Well, you did a good job but people won't be too sure of what you're selling if they look in through the window. It's kinda..."[/smear:#47337D:0] He waved his hand around trying to find the right words and walked over and knocked on an empty shelf.[smear:#7B678A] "Empty in here. The sign outside can draw attention but it's not too clear if you're open or have anything to sell. Y'know? Maybe have another menu sign in the front to catch some attention of your stock."[/smear:#47337D:0] He was trying to be as polite as possible about this because this creature thing had good intentions and he'd hate to see her business go out because people weren't coming in.

[Tyrian]

"Hm..." Candy said, looking at the door. She paused for a brief moment before walking outside the shop and picking up her signs, bringing them back into the building. She placed them down on the floor, and put a sleeve covered hand to whatever chin possibly lay under that black, shadowy mask of hers. "Yeah, I see it." Candy finally said, walking back over to her little stand. She pulled out a couple more pieces of wood similar to her other signs and placed them in a small pile on top of her signs.

"I would put up more here in the shop, but I don't weally have any decorwations, or anything to put up on the shelves. Plus, I can't weally weach that high. I'm too shorwt!" Candy exclaimed, walking over to the shelf Valour was at. She did a few jumps as high as she could while reaching for the shelf and still missed it by two feet or so. "I don't have many bewongings either, just the stuff in that pile and in my little stand." She informed, looking over at the pile of wood then back at Valour.

[[Champion] - Valour]

[smear:#7B678A]"Weeeeeeeeeeell..."[/smear:#47337D:0] Valour what are you doing? Helping a citizen, that's what he's doing. [smear:#7B678A]"If I'm not too busy, I can help you put some decorations up when you have some."[/smear:#47337D:0] It was really nothing, shadows can stretch around and stuff so that was easy work for him. Plus he was doing this new business a favour, but he wasn't really planning to attach strings to that. It was more a force of habit at this point, trying to make the domain of darkness not look like it was full of the stereotypical criminal type. Discrimination like that really hurts, you know. [smear:#7B678A]"I know this kind of stuff takes time but, I'm happy to help if you need it. Of course I have other things I need to do so I'm not going to be able to help all the time, but I can do a few things here and there!"[/smear:#47337D:0]

[Tyrian]

"Oh, well, I never weally got awound to buying many decorwations." Candy admitted, rubbing the back of her neck with her sleeve-covered hand. "Hmm... I could always go out and bwuy some, though! For when you come back one day." She proposed. A small idea lit up in her mind, one that got her rather excited. "Oh! What howwidays do we have? Things to cewebwate! I could always decorwate for those events when they come awound!" Candy suggested, her tone shifting to an excited one. Yes, that might work in Candy's favor. Sure, she was not the best painter, but she could maybe make a fancy little holiday sign for the occasions. Perhaps that would make the shop more appealing. Or candy themed around the occasion! Oh, the ideas were starting to come to Candy now. Maybe she could even paint her face! Oh, no, wait, people can't see it. Decorative robes, perhaps?

[[Champion] - Valour]

Oh gods holidays.[smear:#7B678A] "Well, let's see there's... The New Year festivities which is a week long, the New Era festivities which lasts a month, the celeberation of the end of the Eclipse War, the Autumnal Hauntfest.... There's at least one holiday dedicated to every element. There's a day for lovers, children, several for the deceased."[/smear:#47337D:0], Valour said, listing off as many celebrations as he could think of.[smear:#7B678A] "...We have a lot of them."[/smear:#47337D:0] Hopefully this wasn't too overwhelming for this seemingly foreign...friend..thing?[smear:#7B678A] "I'm not sure how to compile a schedule for all of those things, because I think some have overlap and I don't have business with most of them but I can try to see if Aurora could give you a list or something. It'd be really complicated though, so don't stress yourself too hard on pleasing everyone and burning out in the process."[/smear:#47337D:0] Self moderation was important after all.

That... was a really long list of holidays. Poor Candy was having trouble just remembering half of it. Did they really have so many holidays that she just didn't know about? "...Oh. That's a wot of howwidays. Do we weally have that many?" Candy asked curiously, taken aback. "Howwidays that last whole months?... Do I weally have enough candy for that?" She asked herself in a horrified tone of voice. Oh no... if she didn't have enough candy, what was she going to do?! Her name was Candy! She needed to have candy! Sure she could make it but how long would it take? She started to pace, beginning to worry. A whole month dedicated to a holiday? A whole week? How far away were these holidays?! How could she ever keep up? Candy needed to figure out a plan- she had to! Otherwise, how else was she going to make people happy? Candy's lime green gaze darted back to Valour, "Who's Aurworwa?" Candy asked eagerly. A person to help her out with managing the holidays? Perfect! Just what she needed!

[[Champion] - Valour]

[smear:#7B678A]"Uhhh yeah we have... a lot. Obviously, I don't go to every single one of them, and not every one of them really are a good staple for candy sales but... Yeah we have...a ton." [/smear:#47337D:0]Valour put a hand on his neck. [smear:#7B678A]"Of course Aurora's only probably going to be able to just give you a scheduling of holidays that probably best support it but also, I'd check out Carnivale Magnifique for help. Solitaire is the god of festivities so he probably can get you connections or extra hands or something."[/smear:#47337D:0] Gods knew half the weird shit that happened there with peppermint automatons and candy land looking scenery. Valour liked the people that ran the place but it was a little to party hardy for him.

[Tyrian]

"But who is Auworwa?" Candy asked again, while giving a general vibe of curiosity. While her eyes may be just two lime green dots, they still expressed that she had no idea who this Aurora individual was. The mention of a god definitely threw Candy off, causing her to reply with, "W-Wait! A god? Like a weal god? And you can just go and twalk to him?" as she walked back over to Valour. The idea that she could just talk to a god was such a foreign concept to her. She always thought that gods were beings that didn't really do much with those who weren't gods. That they just... stayed away unless necessary. "What's the closest upcoming howwiday? I need to pwepare!"

[[Champion] - Valour]

[smear:#7B678A]"Aurora's the Avatar of Night but helps keep a huge catalog of pretty much everything ever."[/smear:#47337D:0] Valour leaned against an empty counter space. Valour's been around gods too long to get desensitised by the initial shock, so it threw him slightly off at Candy's reaction. [smear:#7B678A]"Uh, well yeah. Like, a real god. Most are pretty chill to talk with, so I don't see why not."[/smear:#47337D:0], he said with a shrug. He actually forgot the common person doesn't actually hang out with higher powers on a casual basis and they almost always get really formal with gods. When Candy asked her next question Valour actually had to pause for a minute or two to think. There were just so many out there. [smear:#7B678A]"Oh! It's almost time for the Autumn Equinox! People go absolutely nuts for caramelized things in hues of orange and red this time of year! A lot of things are often leaf shaped too, now that I think about it..."[/smear:#47337D:0]

[Tyrian]

"Oh! Oh! Can you dewiver something to them for me?" Candy asked, excitedly hurrying back over to her little stand in the empty room. She figured she might as well make a good first impression on the Avatar of Night and the god of festivities. She didn't know where they were or how to get to them, so Candy decided her best opportunity was to have Valour deliver them to the beings for her! She shuffled some stuff around, the smell of chocolate rising into the air as the little candy maker poured a creamy, liquid chocolate out of what looked like a little tea pot. After a few moments, Candy made her way back to Valour, holding a plate in her hands. She held it up to Valour for him to take. The plate had small little chocolates on it, half of which were shaped like moons, while the other half were shaped like party hats. "I might as well make a good firwst impwession! Maybe if they wike my chocowate, they will come help!"

[[Champion] - Valour]

[smear:#7B678A]"Hm? Oh, yeah I guess I can."[/smear:#47337D:0], Valour said. He watched Candy run off behind her stall and work quickly to make a fresh batch of chocolates. When she came back over, he saw she had a cute little plate with not heart shaped chocolates. They were themed in a way that was easy to tell who it was for. [smear:#7B678A]"Oh, these are adorable! If they have anything in their schedules open, I'll give a good word for you. Can't promise much, but hey, if they show up, then they show up, y'know?"[/smear:#47337D:0]

With that, Valour took the plate carefully, making sure it didn't tip and spill the chocolates. A shadow enveloped them, turned into black box. [smear:#7B678A]"It'll be easier for me to carry 'em like this."[/smear:#47337D:0] He started to head out of the shop, turning back to give Candy a smile and a nod. [smear:#7B678A]"Thanks for these chocolates, wish you luck on your business!"[/smear:#47337D:0], he said as he opened the door and headed on his way out. 

With his status, people seemed to recognise who he was, a few of those more curious as to why he was in such a trainwreck of a place to begin with. Though no one seemed to come in yet, a few people were definitely wondering what was inside such an empty space with such terrible lettering.
