Ah, what lovely weather it was today. Sunny, not a cloud in sight. Despite this, the air around was still very cool, morning dewdrops glistening in the light of a rising runic star that brought daylight. Crystals decorating the Steppes were glowing softly in shadows, but vibrantly reflecting any light that touched it akin to stained glass and splashing colour onto any surface it touched. The early morning market was opening, people already walking in to see today's inventory and to get the best pick of the stock available.
Now why was she here? This wasn't her portion of the city. She had no obligatory reason to be here. The goddess of water, was simply taking a stroll towards a glimmering blue-green series of crystals shaped into what could be considered a castle. Banners flew around its main building, each with a colour and representational element as well as smaller banners below for all the classes available. The goddess walked around the corner into an empty alleyway and refracted light around her body, turning herself invisible. She needed to in order to conceal herself, yes?
It was only for a few moments. A girl stepped out of the alleyway, with no one paying attention. Thank gods. This girl that appeared had silver hair and white irises instead of hair that went from ocean blue to a icy white. Her pupils remained white, blending in with her irises. The markings that once laced the goddess' body were gone, hidden from view. Her clothing was also changed from a simplistic white dress to a more gaudy one. A white robe, accented with silver filigree and a silver sash that rested around her shoulders. Her hair was no longer down and instead put up into an intricate braid with silver banding and white crystals crowning her head. She looked like an elite class mage of ice, someone who would go to schools of magic for those of true special talent. Was she overdoing it? Maybe. It could be the people now staring at a random white mage walking the streets that wasn't there before hinting at this, but who knew really.
The soft click of crystalline heels echoed around the outer gates of the school as she made her way in towards the front desk. She never told the school she was coming to visit. What good would that do? Telling them someone like her was going to visit. That would ruin the fun of it all.

Footsteps echoed around the halls, passing by a handful of students chatting among themselves. Outside one of the grand windows, the weather was beautiful. The day calm. The air quiet. Still. Yet Isaah's eyes were no where near. Instead, the almost lifeless emerald eyes would be locked onto a book, held firmly in one hand while the free one rested in his jacket pocket. A historical text, one required for class studies... almost a month from now. You'd think he was getting ahead of himself, but in reality, he was just far too efficient when it came to taking care of the required material. The boy's mind worked fast, and the gold chain attached to his chest pocket showed that.
Despite the young man's commoner upbringing, which was a rarity for students of Vyridel Academy, Isaah was one of the top ten honors students. A mark of pride for the boy, and one that he fought to maintain. Far more voraciously than all the others, at that. And thus, that is what lead to his currently ever present cycle of bad sleeping habits, voracious cramming, and utter lack of a social life.
He didn't mind though. At least, that's what the kid kept telling himself.
In reality, he was actually... quite lonely. But he supplemented that gaping hole by burying the thoughts in, you guessed it, more ferocious studying. It was a violent cycle he had here. Though, the young mage didn't help matters much by giving the cold shoulder to literally anyone who got close to him. Ignoring them, shunning them, just altogether chasing them away from himself. He didn't want anything to do with them anyways. They were all mostly upper class, ones who looked down on the middle class "commoners" like himself. Hell, even when he first entered the school he was thrown through the wringer just because he wasn't of higher birth.
Though the second the young mage entered that coveted spot, suddenly, birth didn't matter, and even the ones that tormented him changed their tune from a rabid snarl to a sweet siren's song. Isaah had none of it. For all he cared, they could all rot. The young mage earned his spot in this school, he had far more talent in his left fucking toe than they did in their whole bodies, and yet he was given the worse treatment just because of where he came from.
Despicable.
So, why would the boy ever want to be friends with any of them? Besides, they would just get in the way of his studies. Distract him, interrupt him. Compromise his spot, his reputation. To hell with loneliness, Isaah could take it all. He could, he would, and he did. He had to. At least for a little longer, at least until he graduated. Then the young water mage could wash his hands of them forever, and, perhaps, try his hand at finding a companion? Or... maybe that was wishful thinking. At this point, the damage had probably already been done. And if Isaah was too apathetic towards changing his personality any now, would there even be an opportunity to do so later?
The brown haired boy shoved the thoughts away, and instead returned to maintaining his focus on the book. The boy didn't need such intrusive ideas pulling his attention away. It was wasteful, and interrupted his ability to memorize the material. But, speaking of interruptions. A different sound would make itself known, above the normal clattering of dress-code appropriate footware. Something... more... well, the best word to be used could certainly be more... glassy sound? Or perhaps crystalline was better.
Whatever the case, the disruption of the norm was enough to pull the boy's emerald eyes from the pages for just long enough for him to see a strangely dressed white haired girl. Strange. I don't recognize her. A new student? Or perhaps a visitor? She was actually quite pretty. In a soft sort of way. Isaah quickly caught that thought and cut it off at the throat, though, removing it from the scene as more proper thoughts returned to mind. She was certainly a mage, and given her attire she could have wielded great ability. But that didn't detract from how odd it all looked. The staff behind the front desk said something towards her, pointed some random direction, and then went back to their busy work, which just made it all the more curious. Strange.

The mage turned around about to head in the direction given but paused to notice Isaah staring at her. The boy was familiar. Those sunken emerald eyes... Oh yes, she remembered him. From the look of his gaze, her disguise seemed to be working. A smile tugged at the sides of her lips and she strolled towards him. How curious to see him here. She had time before the classes actually started to strike conversation with this mage. [smear:#00fff7]"Hello. You must be one of the students here?"[/smear:#0066FF:0] The look on her face showed she was entertained, but not in some cruel circus monkey kind of way. The boy was leaving his mark, and that's what was important. She gave a little bow to him as she introduced herself. [smear:#00fff7]"My name is Shion. What is your name?"[/smear:#0066FF:0] Ahhhhh, formalities. Reading into her eyes wouldn't give much information, they were as blank as the colour. The only information Isaah could gather was that she was at least a friendly sort despite her upper class appearance.

Well, it looks like whatever she was being directed towards, she got it. But, wait. What is... what is she doing? Aaaand she's approaching him. Why is she approaching him? Was his lethal gaze not lethal enough? No, no, no she's speaking, stop, cease, don't do it. Cease and desist, cease, cease, ceeaaaase...
Dammit.
Well. Great. This is happening.
Isaah carefully shut his book, and dipped his head in reply to her bow. Now, the boy didn't exactly know why he was targeted, but given the girl's demeanor, it probably just came down to the fact that the young mage pulled the short straw. Perhaps if someone else were in his spot, they would have been picked off. But at least they could have handled it better than his antisocial ass. Whatever the case, he was in it now, so with a hefty sigh, he would listen to the young woman, measuring his response.
"Gideon. Isaah Gideon. Yes, I'm a student." As if I'm just wearing this uniform for show. Isaah was tired. He didn't show it, but he was tired. He'd done well to avoid a certain little lightning pest, but still he was dragged head first into this situation. Judging from where she was directed to, and how she approached him, this was just a sight seeing trip for some of the upper class. Perhaps shopping around for a mage school to attend- or to have a family member attend. Or maybe it was just headhunting potential candidates for some magic force or another. He'd heard of the Phoenix guard scouting out potential fire mages for their ranks. Still, the girl was hard to get a complete read on. She was excited and happy to be there, that was for sure, but her motives behind it were lost on him. Isaah cast his hollow gaze off towards the distance before speaking, emerald eyes wishing to look at anything other than her's. "If you're looking to meet with the headmaster, head down the left wing, until you come to a set of stairs. Take those up to the top floor, and it should be the first set of double doors on the right."
There, send her off to someone who mattered. Shion could get whatever she needed from the headmaster, hell, maybe even have a more worthwhile student give her a tour. Isaah couldn't imagine anyone would really like getting a tour from him. The boy was such a no nonsense killjoy, and was like that on purpose. Left more time to focus on what mattered. As such, his conversational skills... were... immensely lacking, and the boy knew that it was enough to drive off about ninety-nine-point-nine-nine-nine-etc. percent of the people who tried to hang around with him. Only the hardiest of parasites could really stand to stick around, and even then it was mostly just to make the water mages life more difficult.

[smear:#00fff7]Oh Isaah, you shouldn't be so cold, even if you are capable of wielding ice.[/smear:#0066FF:0] Yuki's comment was silently said in her mind of course. She wouldn't want to give herself away, not quite yet. [smear:#00fff7]"Oh, I'm not here to see the headmaster. I'm here to observe the school's performance and overall student lifestyle here. So tell me, Isaah was it? Tell me, what brought you here? Do you come from a prestigious lineage? Or are you here to make your own mark on the world?"[/smear:#0066FF:0] Unfortunately for the boy, it seemed like he was stuck with another nuisance, at least as far as he knew. Her attention was on him, not anything intense but it seemed like genuine interest at the surface. For the most part it was, but she already knew some of his reasoning.

So... he just pulled the short straw. Why couldn't it have been one of the other students? Isaah restrained himself from sighing, and studied the girl's features to try and discern if her intentions were honest. Unfortunately, the young man wasn't the best at reading people, and no matter what his mind always defaulted to the worst, so... yeah there was that. Regardless of the young mage's "issues," though, when he started walking, the boy at least paused to make sure she followed. Her questions were an issue, though. Without any idea of the girl's true intentions, Isaah didn't know how much to say. Her being a guest, and with his and the schools reputation on the line, the young mage had to say something. But how much was the real question here. Finally, with a sigh, the boy put in an effort to respond.
"I don't come from a prestigious lineage. Nor do I expect to make a mark on anything. I originally came here to repay a debt owed, and hopefully become strong enough to serve my goddess. Now I'm just staying here out of spite." Sure, make a mark on the world. Him. Of all people. Isaah wouldn't have even entertained that thought when he was bright eyed and full of life. As the boy is now, that whole spiel seems, well, fucking stupid. It was the type of garbage that was vomited out to make people feel good about themselves, and what the other elitist fucks used to pat themselves on the back.
As though to emphasize the "spite" portion of the student's statement, a torrent of laughter caught Isaah's attention and pried it instead towards a scene that was, frankly, embarrassing for multiple reasons.
Out of anyone's real way, three larger students had a younger man cornered. Well. Ok. Cornered was being too gentle, what was really going on was they had the poor boy up off the ground and against the floor and pressed up into the wall like some sort of textbook high-school stereotype. Reason One why this was all embarrassing. Reason two, you might ask? Well, the main perpetrator had a similar chain on his uniform as Isaah's.
"O-ok guys, look this was fun and all, but really, don't you think this is a bit childish?" Came the poor victim's voice. It was a voice Isaah, unfortunately, knew all too well. It was the voice of a certain parasite that always seemed to hunt the young mage down and cling to him like a tick. Or a leach. Or a walking migraine.
Metaphor fell through at the end, but the point was clear. Isaah disliked the other boy. That boy being none other than the human hazard; Zedd Kastan. The boy who was literally a walking hand grenade on the best of days. The other honor's student was the one to speak up next, though.
"Are you really sure you're the one who should be saying that? Given how much you sit in your room and tinker with toys? I mean, that's not mentioning how much you blow yourself up like the idiot you are." The blond haired pretty-boy pulled the boy forward just enough, that when he slammed him back the goggled idiot made an audible "Oof!" "Listen, commoner, are you really sure you should be here? You have no friends and not one person likes you. You're magical ability isn't even noteworthy.-" Isaah let out a sigh and lifted a finger, swirling it around and collecting an orb of water "-Even if it was strong, you can't even control it without daddy's precious little gwuvy-wuvvies. A dumbass like you doesn't belo- HRRP!!"
With a flick of his wrist, Isaah sent the water sphere whacking about the heads of the three boys, causing them to drop Zedd with another "Oof" from the boy. As an added insult, Issah split the sphere into three parts, and dropped all onto each of the bullies heads'.
"Hello Damian." Isaah interrupted, grabbing the leader's attention immediately. "Sorry to interrupt, but I'd like to introduce you to our esteemed guest, Miss Shion. She's here on a visit to observe the daily lives of us students and our performance. Seeing as you're the rank below mine I do hope you'll be on your best behavior, to ensure the name of our school remains intact."
Isaah's sarcasm dripped off of every word, like the frigid drops that fell from the three young men. The blond haired boy became immediately flustered, then pale, then angry, but quickly collected himself with a bright, innocent smile. A smile that was too pure to be real, too contradictory to how he just was to be believable. "Yes, of course. Speaking of, we should really be heading to class, right guys? Come on now."
Damian bowed his head, then skirted away, dragging along his two lackey's as he did so. The water mage let out a sigh and turned to Shion. "Apologies. Sometimes the games and roughhousing among students can get a little... out of hand."
The young man continued to walk, giving little attention to Zedd as he did so. Isaah should have known better though, that never worked on Zedd.
"Wait up!" Came the cry. Oh no... "Hehe, thanks for that, bud, got into a bit of a heated debate, honestly, you know what it's all about. Damian and his daddy issues, you know the deal. But hey, you're giving a tour? That's pretty cool, of course, that should be expected from Mister Extraordinary himself. Shion, right? I'm Zedd, Zedd Gregory Kastan. Proud little lightning bug and resident tinkerer. Nice to meet you! Say, you look a bit familiar, do I know you? What elemental affinity are you?"
It was admirable seeing Isaah fight to save face amongst the chatterbox's never ending assault. It was almost tempting to just... cover his mouth with as bit of water, freeze it over, and leave him like that. But, the young mage couldn't possibly do that in-front of a guest.Still...
He did kinda wish he just ignored the scene now.

Yuki had to struggle to hide a little smile, hopefully that worked. Any notion of it was a little perk up at the corners of her mouth.[smear:#00fff7]"Oh? Who would your goddess be?"[/smear:#0066FF:0] Though, it seemed like her question was cut short as she also looked up in the direction of the laughter. She'd hear his answer later, she was sure of that anyways. Yuki winced a little as she watched this all happen. The mage's hand rested on the sash that wrapped cleanly around her waist. Not that this made her gut churn, the sash was arcane jewelry in a disguised state. Never leave home without a pocket knife, kids.
Her posture seemed more relaxed as Isaah seemed to handle the situation though. Instead, she stood up straighter, kept a calmer gaze and regained an air of nobility around her. Her eyes stayed on Damian for a couple seconds as he and his...'friends' slithered away. A blink and her gaze was cast on Isaah. [smear:#00fff7]"Games? Surely a school of this calibur wouldn't allow such a game like this so freely."[/smear:#0066FF:0], she said, giving him a stern yet quizzical stare. Even as Isaah started off, she watched Zedd jog up to catch up. He was friendly with Isaah. That was good. A little smile poked on her face, this boy would probably be one of Isaah's strongest pillars, whether or not Isaah knew that himself.
[smear:#00fff7]"My strengths are a secret, Mister Kastan. I see you must be Mister Gideon's friend."[/smear:#0066FF:0], she said, her smile remaining as a half polite, half genuinely happy one. Zedd was an entertaining one. Her hands moved in front of her and clasped over each other gently. [smear:#00fff7]"You said you were in a debate? What about it made it get to such a scene?"[/smear:#0066FF:0]

[smear:#99cedf]"Friends?"[/smear:#555cff:0] They both echoed in unison. The two exchanged a glance, and immediately said their replies at the same time. "NO!""YES!" Isaah glared at Zedd while the goggled boy smiled back sheepishly. "Of course not. The only one who'd ever want to be friends with this idiot, is someone equally as brain-dead. He's enough of a hazard to my health on his own, I don't need his habit of randomly exploding to lessen my life span any more." "Love ya too buddy!" Isaah glowered at the other boy for a moment longer, before turning on heel and continuing to walk. Like a puppy, Zedd was right there behind him. "Anyways, I'm gonna say that judging from your attire, you're probably a cryomancer or hydromancer or some sort. Hmm, I'd say cryomancy suits you best, actually. Eh, but excuse me for getting ahead of myself, you did ask a question first. As far as the, eh, ehem, ehehe, debate, It was just, you know, a simple matter. Just discussing things like upper class vs lower class, natural born magic affinity vs practiced, whether or not someone should be defined by their daddy issues and take their anger out on others or not, wanting to punch me in the face vs not wanting to get punched. You know, standard stuff. Just another day, you know?" Isaah rolled his eyes, though, secretly, Zedd would also feel as though he... really needed to start picking his battled better. The day was actually going pretty well for the lightning mage. He had gotten to fine tune his gauntlets without blowing himself up with electricity for once, and everything seemed to just go on up from there. But then Damian caught wind of his happiness and swooped in like a hawk. It seemed that he couldn't find Cyrus, so, the next optimal target was Zedd. And then things descended from there. However, Shion was an interesting character. And behind the goggles it was obvious that Zedd knew she had a few interesting secrets underneath the surface. But, he'd have to dig into that later, as Isaah seemed to answer a question that was stated far before the electromancer came into the picture. "To answer your previous inquiry. I follow the goddess, Yuki." The hydromage stated planely. A cool breeze brushed past as the boy pushed open a set of double doors, leading outside, rather than keeping in. The schools park area was covered in lush grass, with segmented and nurtured gardens teeming with beautiful flowers of all types. The trees were taken care of, and towered high, branches full of bright green leaves that swayed and rustled in the breeze. The path led around and through, but only a few students kept to the path. In the center, a grand fountain bubbled along softly. "This is where most students come to relax when they're not in class. It's quiet, and especially lovely in spring and early summer." "Heat's killer in mid summer though. Unless you're a cool-bodied water mage like him." Isaah rolled his eyes. "Anyways, where are you from Miss Shion? And what brought you here aside from, you know, student curiosity. I mean, of course, like, what spurred this on and all that?"

Yuki couldn't help but laugh, the reactions of the two were priceless. [smear:#00fff7]"I don't know, I quite like Zedd. He's an entertaining one and good to keep around."[/smear:#0066FF:0] Though as Zedd explained his debate, Yuki's gaze shifted idly towards some classrooms. Some had students in it, other's empty at this time. [smear:#00fff7]"Personally speaking, I don't think it matters whether or not someone is blessed with a high connection to an element or not. What matters most is control and cunning. Even what one would consider a weak mage could defeat one much stronger if they had the wit and better control than them. The strongest mages who demonstrate control know how to use their power in moderation without self harm, but knowing that control is unique to the mage themselves."[/smear:#0066FF:0] As she said this, she was eyeing Zedd's gauntlets.
When Issah piped up with his answer, Shion raised a brow and stared at him. [smear:#00fff7]"If I may ask, why do you follow her? And if you feel as though you owe her a deb, how do you figure you'd pay that off?"[/smear:#0066FF:0] She followed a god before, but he's not there anymore. Not that anyone needed to know about that but of history. Although she wouldn't be surprised if he was still mentioned as a fragment in earlier history.
While Isaah could figure out his answers, Yuki didn't seem to be free of the Q&A game herself. [smear:#00fff7]"I'm from Avalon in the winter sector. My mother was a water mage, my father, an ice mage. As for why I'm here, it's a mere measure of the school's progress. It happens from time to time with various higher ups appearing at random times. Today was just my turn to catch a glimpse of how well the school is doing and what they could work on the further perfect the cirriculum." [/smear:#0066FF:0]

Isaah paused and cast a quizzical glance Shion's way. "I never said I owed her a debt. But my reasons for following her are mine alone. Just like you are unwilling to give him certain answers, so too am I." Zedd flicked his gaze between the two. Isaah seemed to study Shion briefly, then quietly turned away and continued walking. Meanwhile, the brown haired boy would remain... uncomfortably quiet, smiling sweetly at Shion. Behind the goggles, his eyes were unreadable. Yet, somehow his gaze was... unsettling. "And as far as wit and control go." Isaah continued as he call back. "You're looking at the wrong electromancer." Zedd shrugged. "Well he's not wrong. There's a reason I got these on." Zedd rapped his knuckles against the metal gauntlets. The young man walked alongside Shion as she told her story. His assessment of her elements was an easy one, of course, but it was interesting to hear the little tid bits about her family. That aside, it was also pretty neat to hear the reason behind why she was at the academy as well. The boy wouldn't give a response this time, seemingly sated for now. Up ahead, Isaah stopped and waited for the duo to catch up, whether this was being polite or impatient was... hard to read, given the young man's dead eyes and dead expression. "Sorry for keeping you waiting." Zedd gave a laugh. "I was just listening to Shion and all that. She's quite an interesting character. Oh, by the way, Shion, you mentioned that you were the one picked right now to check this place out? Is that something that's part of your family, an organization? Who else are on the selection roster? Or is it just randomly picking out of different nobility?" The other boy let out a sigh. "Kastan, you're going to give this woman a headache if you keep torturing her with your endless babble. Miss Shion, please ignore him for the time being. Scientists still to this day are looking for a way to shut him up. Anyways, where would you like to see next?"

[smear:#00fff7]"That's fair."[/smear:#0066FF:0] Though with Isaah's cold attitude, the mage didn't seem bothered.[smear:#00fff7] "Apologies if this seems harsh, but you don't seem the type that utilises control."[/smear:#0066FF:0] She could be proven wrong though. Surprises like that always made things more interesting.
Picked was one way to put it, she supposed. But she was the one doing the picking. Not that they had to know this. [smear:#00fff7]"Oh no, no I don't mind being asked questions. It's quite alright. No one in particular is really on the roster, it's more of a random draw. This school just happened to be the pick for today." [/smear:#0066FF:0]She caught up with Isaah, standing next to him. [smear:#00fff7]"Do you have any classes to go to? I'd like to observe most of what happens here."[/smear:#0066FF:0]

"His combat style is more like making himself the biggest walking health hazard possible." Isaah quipped. "Not true!" Zedd retorted. He lifted one of the gauntlets and made a fist. "These things are to help me maintain control of my magic. Unfortunately, my electromancy is way too unstable on it's own- which, well, isn't bad, per say, because it hits hard. But, you know. It doesn't distinguish between friend and foe. I try to practice more to hone my focus, and I tinker with the lenses behind the gems to try and get more directed strikes. It works- most of the time- although some of my tinkering has been known to create some... er... explosive results?" The brown haired water mage slapped a hand to his face while Zedd smiled sheepishly. Once Shion started continuing, it looked as though both of the boys were relieved to get off the topic of Zedd's magic.
Zedd was... reasonably strong, reasonably skilled, but there was a reason why most people avoided him, and it wasn't just because of his upbringing or his personality. When he didn't have his gauntlets on, or any sort of inhibitor, he could have sudden... spurts. It was the primary reason why he was allowed to wear them along with his uniform. Usually such items would be kept for the field. The jabs that Isaah and Damian made towards Zedd weren't for nothing. The boy really was a walking health hazard.
In recent times, the young mage had been able to hone himself better, decrease the frequency of outbursts, but the boy was still highly unpredictable, and that was a looming shadow that no one wanted to touch. Especially not a hydromage like Isaah. But Zedd didn't mind much. He took it all in stride and just kept on smiling.
It was a mix of admirable and annoying.
Isaah perked up slightly when Shion mentioned classes, and pulled out a pocket watch to check the time. The boy made a small "hmph" noise, and nodded. "We have world history in about ten minutes. I suppose we could head there early if you'd like?"
Zedd groaned at the mention of history class. Isaah, who had been reading a history book, didn't even bat an eye.

[smear:#00fff7]"Yes. I'd love to see if the curriculum has made any changes since the last visit I've had."[/smear:#0066FF:0] It seemed like Zedd was more of a hands on type learner, whereas Isaah... Well, Isaah was an easy read with one for the books. [smear:#00fff7]"I know a few mages with wildcard kinds of magic. Control may not be their specialty, but they do know how to put their unpredictability to good use when needed."[/smear:#0066FF:0]
[smear:#00fff7]"So tell me, what are your favourite classes here? Any particular reason you enjoy them more?"[/smear:#0066FF:0], she inquired as if taking a mental note on them as students for a report. But it was really more curiosity on her own self. On another note, she was hoping to run into Damian again for a talk or something a little more than that if it was necessary. Of course, by the end of the day, her assessment would go to the headmaster, bringing up the issues she's seen and other things to talk about. What headmaster wouldn't want their school the be the perfect representation of magic?

"Oh? When was the last time you visited? Things haven't changed a whole lot in the last decade I've heard. Were you a former student? Or- GASP!!!- are you actually over thirty?" Zedd asked in the same, bubbly manner. But... there it was again, that slightly uncomfortable feeling hidden behind his goggles. Isaah grabbed the back of Zedd's collar and started dragging him along with a sigh. "If you keep shotgunning questions at her, we'll be here all day. And I don't need to miss any classes." Zedd flailed a bit as the water mage dragged him along. "If I had the option of leaving you behind, I would take it in a heartbeat but given our guest here has taken a liking to you, unfortunately you're going to have to come along and actually put in effort for once." "Wh-what!? B-but I hate history the most! C-come on, ehehe, w-we really don't have to go to class early, do we? Do we?" Zedd was getting desperate. Isaah was having none of it.
"You're days of coming into class tardy end today. Hope you enjoy getting a perfect attendance for once in your life." Zedd's expression was one that showed his soul visibly getting crushed. But, try as he may, he couldn't get free from Isaah's grasp... but... that didn't mean he couldn't make things harder.
The two practically fought each other as Zedd dug his heels and made it difficult for Isaah to pull him, but despite his best efforts, the trio made it to class perfectly on time. Somehow, though, both of them looked as though they had lost. Truly, Isaah was defeated as he was in class "late" and Zedd was defeated as he was in class "early"
The differences between the two were like night and day.
But, regardless, class was now in session, and the two boys took their seats. Isaah near the front left, close to the windows, and Zedd all the way in the back right, moping. As she was a guest, Shion was given a chair to sit in alongside Isaah, while Zedd was forced to flip his goggles up- yet another lethal blow to the boy's health bar. And with that, class was in session.

[smear:#00fff7]"It's not polite to ask a lady for her age!"[/smear:#0066FF:0], she said like she was slightly offended. Regardless, that more or less confirmed that she was over thirty. Damn well looked great for her age. Aaaah, the blessings of immortality. She followed the two, not interfering with their episode of shenanigans. Being honest, she could watch the two quibble and quarrel all day, so long as it seemed like harmless fun.
As they entered the classroom, Yuki moved her seat off towards the side. The professor seemed surprised themselves as a sudden mage unknown to them just seemingly appeared. She was obviously not a student, and it made it less unnerving that she appeared so official. Whispers rang throughout the class about her, who she was, what she was doing. A few students whispered the joke that Isaah somehow bribed the girl into being her caregiver or girlfriend.
"Students, we appear to have a guest today. Miss, will you introduce yourself?"
Yuki stood up and turned to the class, giving them all a bow. "Hello everyone, my name is Shion."She stood straight and looked at the professor after she sat back down. "You needn't worry about formalities or anything special. I'm simply here for a study."
"R-right... Now let's see... Where did we leave off here...", the professor glanced down to their notes, onto a tab that was bookmarked for where they were. "Ah yes, everyone's favourite topic, The Battle Of The Seasons." There was a slightly tired tone in their voice, this topic always brought forth a debate with someone somewhere in the class for all the years they taught history. "Can anyone tell me the reason why this war began?"
Yuki watched the class quietly. There weren't many wars within Avalon. Outside of an occasional skirmish, there were only three major notable wars. Regardless, she stayed silent to observe. After all, she wasn't a student and wouldn't answer a question unless she needed to.
