Theo hummed quietly to himself as he finished hanging the sign outside of his new shop, 'Forge and Forget'. He'd always wanted a place like this, a place to build and test his inventions while also earning a decent living. "If you love what you do my boy, you'll never work a day in your life" his father had said, words he intended to take to heart. "Here's to a successful first day" he muttered to himself, flipping the sign to open and settling back behind the counter.

One of the many classes had finally ended at Rhepheia College, allowing those to go home or explore until their next class comes up. Alicia was one of these freed students, deciding to take her chance to explore Avalon. She already had a rather good understanding of the many paths of Avalon, however, that was typically in the dead of night. For her, this was helping her figure out Avalon and also scout out a bit. See if she can identify anything worth getting her gloved hands on later that night. Her explorations yielded a more curious response in the thief, though.
A shop simply named Forge and Forget. Was it some kind of blacksmith and hypnotist crossbreed? That would definitely be something. She was more curious about the forget part of the name. What would people be forgetting exactly? Alicia's interest was definitely piqued, and being the social person she is, just had to go in and take a look to see what was going on in this building. Alicia opened the door, stepping inside with her backpack still on, "Heyo, saw the sign. Just had to ask. What does your name mean? Forge and Forget. Forget what exactly?" Alicia asked, approaching the counter.

Theo straightens up a bit and flashes a charming smile "Why hello there! Forge and Forget is a play on the words 'Fire and Forget', and the only thing you'll forget is whatever problem you had in front of you in the first place!" he says, gesturing grandiosely to the workshop behind him "I design weapons! Large and small, from knives to rocket launchers, you name it, I can probably make it!" he declares proudly, pulling out a small knife with a plasma cutting edge, flipping it around and showcasing it

Now the sign made sense to Alicia. That was what brought her into the shop in the first place, so she considered taking her leave after understanding the name. However, his opening lines about the shop caught her interest even more. "Wait wait wait, did you just say a rocket launcher? Is that even legal?" Alicia asked, moving closer to the counter. It didn't exactly sound legal, considering how destructive of a weapon it was. Could people really just... own a rocket launcher? She watched as the man pulled out the plasma-edged knife, gazing at it. It was definitely better than the weapon she owned, however, she also figured it would be a lot more identifiable. Not exactly good for her line of work.

"Why yes I did say a rocket launcher! And as to legality, I'm not even sure" Theo said with a shrug, flipping the knife once or twice before sliding it back into its sheath "My specialty is providing my clients with high quality weapons, I'm not terribly concerned with what happens once my clients leave with them" he continued, leaning down slightly to eye Alicia "Did you have your eyes on something specific?"

Well, Alicia couldn't judge or complain about the legality of the rocket launcher. She didn't do the most legal stuff herself. "I more meant, is it even legal to make a rocket launcher, but hey, you're the guy with weapons, I'm not gonna look too much into it." Alicia informed with a dismissive shrug, placing her hands in her jacket pockets, "Mm... Nope. Just saw the sign, got confused, wanted to see what it meant. However, now that you showed me a plasma blade and that you can apparently make rocket launchers, I'm definitely more curious about the other stuff in this shop." She answered. She had the weapon she already liked at home so there was no need to pickup anything new. That doesn't mean she can't look at the cool weapons, though.

"I'm happy to say that all of the weapons here are crafted in the shop, and only with the finest materials I can get my hands on!" Theo says proudly, gesturing to the workshop behind him where at least ten racks of weapons stood, loaded with a wide variety. The first rack held rather plain looking longswords, though upon closer inspection a few of them seemed to shine unnaturally, while one particularly evil looking blade appeared to absorb the nearby darkness, the eyes of the skull shaped guard glinting hungrily. The second held several pistols, two of them sporting large blades underneath the barrels, while another, revolver style weapon glowed like the sun itself, bright orange plasma slowly coursing through the tubes that ran the length of the gun. Next to these racks was a large cannon with two handgrips and an interlinked backpack that rested against a forge, the unpolished metal suggesting that it was a prototype. Finally, against the wall there hung three tridents, the first sporting an electrical field that periodically crackled, the second with a wickedly barbed head that also sported a corkscrew pattern, as though it was specifically designed for tearing flesh. The last trident was perhaps the most interesting, covered in molten magma yet not melting, the hiss of the lava audible even from the front of the counter.

The weapons were all definitely interesting to say the least. She was rather concerned about the usage of the tridents, especially the one crackling with electricity and the other made of molten rock. She had no idea how someone would ever wield such weapons without some issue. Even if the individual was immune to such things, wouldn't it be an issue for the surrounding area? Alicia had no idea, nor did she want to find out by picking up a trident. After all, if she did break something, she'd have to buy it. "What's with the tridents? They don't look all that useful. That molten stuff would probably burn the wielder and that electrical one looks like it would absolutely obliterate a server room." Alicia asked, turning to the man standing at the counter.

"The molten trident was designed in order to penetrate armor in addition to dealing with rock golems, while the electric one was designed for water elementals. As to why I even have them in the first place, I try to cater to as many possible fighting styles as I can, so that no matter the customer I have at least one weapon they could use." Theo replied absentmindedly, fiddling with a collapsible bo staff and grunting in satisfaction as the napalm canisters slid in to either end with a satisfying clicking noise. "Oh I also forgot to mention that the shaft of the molten trident is insulated so that the wearer isn't burned" Theo added as an afterthought, folding up the staff and setting it on a rack behind him.

"The electrical trident seems like it'd be really unfortunate to bring into any room involving electricity." Amber said, taking a closer look at the crackling weapon. "Especially a server room. One wrong swing and that place is out for a while." She added, taking a step back as to keep her distance from the electrical weapon. She wasn't too sure if these were the safest things, even though one of them had insulation to protect the wielder. They looked like weapons that could go wrong very fast. If someone left that molten trident somewhere, it could start a fire or just... melt through the place. "Instead of just making a new trident for each elemental type, why not just make one trident that can be modified accordingly?" Alicia asked, approaching the counter, "You could have a slot in the shaft for a special... uh, thing, I guess. Like a capsule or crystal. That will alter the trident to be a different elemental type. If you insert, say a red capsule or crystal, the trident could shift into that molten one over there. It seems to me that'd be more efficient. Then you only have to make one trident and you could sell the elemental capsules or whatever for extra!"

"Elemental capsules! I can't believe I didn't think of that, thank you for mentioning that Miss I'll be sure to remember that the next time I look at the tridents for overhaul!" Theo exclaimed, rummaging in the drawer behind the counter for a scrap of paper, grunting in satisfaction as he wrote the note to himself, and pinning it to top of the counter. "Now that you mention it I suppose bringing the electrical trident into a server room would be downright catastrophic...hm....I suppose I should add an activation stud to avoid any accidental electrocution..." Theo muttered to himself, idly jotting down ideas for more upgrades.

"The molten trident would also be a complete nightmare in any cold location. At least, if it's an area where it has to be cold. Or anywhere really, really dry for that matter. Pretty sure just the heat radiating off of it alone would start a fire." Alicia pointed out, shooting a glance at the trident made out of the strange molten material. She honestly just wasn't that big of a fan of the weapons, especially with how easily the tridents could cause too many accidents. "Mm... Maybe you should secure those tridents too. I feel like if someone wanted to rob the place, those are pretty efficient weapons to just grab and use against you. A lot of the stuff isn't really secured from the looks of it, actually. Seems easy to just... grab something and run." She observed, gesturing to a rack of weapons off to the side. Unless there was some sort of hidden security she hasn't (or couldn't) see, her thieving skills told her the place would be extremely easy to steal from. Not that she would consider it but it was just something she was good at seeing.

"I mean if someone wanted to rob me they could certainly try, but considering 90% of the weapons I manufacture are fire related and I'm highly proficient with fire they wouldn't do much damage: and I certainly know more about how each weapon works, where to disable it so it can't function/is useless in anyone else's hands" Theo replies with a shrug, gesturing to his hammer and his horns "Besides, I always have these should anyone decide they want to tussle, although the racks themselves have electrical wiring running through them: anyone that fails to deactivate them before trying to lift a weapon will get a nasty shock"

"Fair enough. Just a thought is all." Alicia replied, leaning on the counter. "Wait, the shelves are electrically wired? Isn't that not a good idea when a lot of weapons are made of metal, especially the electrified trident?" She asked, looking over at the trident before turning back to Theo. She didn't really know how this whole store was setup, however, perhaps any responses he might give could get her some insight. Maybe she'll encounter something similar later on in her... night work. "How do you do work with the metal weapons anyway? If the racks and shelves are electrified, anyway. It doesn't seem like a good idea, to me, anyway... Plus, wouldn't anything metal coming into contact with the racks and shelves cause a massive surge?"

"Normally, yes it would cause a massive surge, but I have a special transponder set to deactivate the security grid momentarily whenever I need to pick up a weapon, though as a precaution I do make a habit to wear insulated gloves. When you work with electrified defenses/weaponry having resistant gear is a necessity: being careful can only take you so far" Theo says, then scratches his beard thoughtfully "Though now that you mention it that does seem a bit...excessive, don't you think? I mean it's perfectly safe if I'm the one handling them but if some poor folk went to pick it up without authorization...oh dear."
