Nova
Cayde had told her that in order to get a feel for delivering packages, she needed to get to know the locals, so he told her to go to Leamh Village just so she could introduce herself to the civilians. With the new bike that Cayde gave her, along with a crash course on how to ride it, the feline druid cycled her way towards the sleepy village. There was a slight breeze in the air as she rode along the dirt path towards the small village, the occasional small critter stopping to see what was going on. Besides the twittering of birds, the ride was quiet and peaceful.
It didn't take long for her to reach Leamh Village, as she cycled towards the center of town and took a good look around. It was just like Cayde said, the town was quaint and sleepy. Cobblestone paths leading to different shops and homes, a babbling brook going through the center, people of different races interacting and being friendly. Yep, this was the right town alright. First thing's first, she needed to ask somebody about this town and its inhabitants, get some info. Then she'll introduce herself to the locals, maybe try and get some jobs out of them. Yeah, that sounds like a plan! Wheeling her bike to a nearby shop, she chained it down to prevent thievery, and walked into the shop. As she walked towards the counter, she examined the wares. The establishment was a bookshop, carrying books of all varieties. Ooh, if she wasn't so busy she'd check out what genres they had! Standing before the store's counter, she stood on her tippy-toes and cleared her throat to gain the attention of the clerk behind the counter. "Ahem. 'Scuse me." She waited for the clerk to look her way, noting the easy-going smile on their face.
"Can I help you lil' lady?" The clerk inquired, peering down at Nova with a raised brow. The short druid hummed as she thought for a moment, she wanted to word this properly, "'M pretty much new here, and my guardian suggested I come here n' meet the locals, get a feel of the area." She shot a small grin at the clerk, a fang poking out. The clerk hummed as they leaned against the counter, "Alright tiny, what do you wanna know?"
Nova left the store with a pep in her step, the clerk was very informative about the town and its people, making this whole chore easier!

The town of Leamh Village was perfect for Milo. He was no adventurer and no one to walk the halls of danger and exploration. He was a simple baker who just wanted to cook for people. Nothing more, nothing less. His small bakery sat towards the center of the village, besides the small stream that ran its course. His bakery was right up against the cobblestone roads, with a small pair of steps leading up to the door decorated with carvings of baked goods. A small hole on the door allowed one to view the inside of the bakery, and the smell of what was being made within to drift out.
Milo was readily at work in the bakery, simply named [smear:#ff9696]"Milo's Bakery."[/smear:#a84747:0] He had this little thing he did where he would bake some goods and set them out on small tables at the front of the tiny building. That way, people could come in and try out whatever he made that day, whether it was fresh bread or warm pastries. He did it not to draw in customers, but to make friends and to share his cooking. If people wanted to buy, well, then they certainly could!
He was hard at work baking some small pies to place on the tables. He wasn't the best at making pies, so he was using this as an opportunity to practice and get feedback on his products. A few looked a little odd, such as a couple of holes or cracks in the crust, but Milo thought it would be okay. As long as they taste good, he could work on presentation later!
The warm, freshly made pies were set out on the tables and Milo approached the door, pulling a small circular panel out. That allowed there to be a hole in the door for one to look in, but more importantly, for the smell of the baked goods to waft through the air, telling Leamh Village that something new from him was ready.

Nova
The former street rat(cat?) was making her way towards one of the shops, it appeared to be a clothing store, until her nose twitched from an aroma wafting through the air. What was that? It smelled like... berries and fruit? Her ears twitched as she heard the sound of a small group of people congregating somewhere nearby, catching the words 'bakery' and 'sweets'. Oho, so there's a bakery in town? Guess she'll be heading there instead!
Changing her course from the clothing shop, she made her way towards a quaint looking bakery, and sure enough a handful of townsfolk had stopped by to taste the wares that were placed out prettily on a couple of tables. As she got closer she saw the tiny baked treats that the townsfolk seemed to enjoy, and she cocked her head. They looked to be pies, if pies were cobbled together poorly, but they seemed to be getting a good reception so far. She picked up a pie and sniffed it, hmm blackberry. Taking a bite out of it, she chewed for a bit before swallowing. "Huh, not as bad as I was expecting." Polishing off the rest of the mini pie, she looked towards the bakery, perhaps she'll go and pay her compliments and maybe slight criticism to the chef.
Approaching the entrance of the shop, she peered in through the small opening to check if anyone was in, before calling out through said opening, "Hellooo? Is the chef in?"

The sound of someone coming through the door of the building made Milo jump to attention and stumble out of the kitchen. He looked a little messy, having dough covering his hands and a bit on his face. The baker gave a smile and a small wave, careful not to splatter dough onto anything. He had just cleaned in the main floor and didn't want to have to clean again right away.
[smear:#ff9696]"Hiya!"[/smear:#a84747:0] Milo said cheerfully, his expression shifting from happy to one of realization. [smear:#ff9696]"Oh! I don't recognize you. Are you new to Leamh Village or am I just forgetting you? Sorry if it's the second thing."[/smear:#a84747:0] He asked, brushing his hands off on the stained, gray apron he was wearing. [smear:#ff9696]"There's some pie outside. It's a little messy but I don't make pie all that much. Still trying to figure out the crust."[/smear:#a84747:0] He continued, giving a small, sheepish smile.
[smear:#ff9696]"But um, how can I help you? Are you interested in anything here or is something wrong?"[/smear:#a84747:0] Milo asked, gesturing to the floor as he mentioned anything there. He continued with, [smear:#ff9696]"Unless you're here with a more personalized baking request, which I also do! Cakes, pastries, cookies, breads... And even though this is a bakery, I can cook other stuff too."[/smear:#a84747:0]

She shook her head as she answered the baker, "No, I'm just someone who's visiting, I don't live in the village. I just happened to come by your bakery 'cause everyone was flockin here." The guy looked like a stereotypical baker, covered in dough and friendly to boot. She rocked on her heels as she introduced herself, "I'm Nova and I'm apprenticing under a courier named Cayde, he thought it'd be good if I made friendly with potential clients." Good thing she's got a baby face, really helps the image of her being a kind, helpful girl. Flash a little smile and hold her hand out for a handshake, y'know the works. "But I do have to say, you're pretty good at what ya do huh? You say ya don't make pie that much, but it was good. Everyone out there seems to think so." She gestured out front where the crowd of people still surrounded the pie tables, some of the tables empty of pies.

[smear:#ff9696]"Really? People were flocking here?"[/smear:#a84747:0] Milo asked, leaning to the side to look out the door behind Nova. [smear:#ff9696]"Oh, yeah, probably 'cause I put out something. I thought you meant to the building, I got real excited for a moment."[/smear:#a84747:0] He added, picking up a small cloth from a countertop to wipe his hands off more effectively.
[smear:#ff9696]"Hm... Cayde. Can't say I recall the name. Then again, I've always been really bad at names. I forget the names of half the things I sell most of the time."[/smear:#a84747:0] He said, cracking a small smirk at that. [smear:#ff9696]"But yeah, I getcha. Always good to make friends, 'specially with the businesses. Oh, speaking of which!"[/smear:#a84747:0] He reached behind the counter, pulling out a small basket with a soft, cloth lining.
It was full of various products that could be seen on the shop floor. There was various small loafs of bread and muffins packed neatly within, a couple of cookies sitting prettily on the edges. A few pastries sat on top of the breads, carefully wrapped in napkins to be easier to hold. [smear:#ff9696]"A little something I tend to give to all the new folk!"[/smear:#a84747:0]
At the offer of a handshake, Milo opted for something a little more easygoing. A sideways high five as he offered the basket to Nova. [smear:#ff9696]"Well, I'm glad people are enjoying the pies. I don't make it much so this batch was more of a practice run. They aren't the prettiest pies."[/smear:#a84747:0]

She blinked in surprise as she was high-fived by the easy-going baker, unconsciously accepting the basket of baked goods. Shaking herself out her daze, she quietly thanked him, before peering into the basket to see what she got. Hmm, there's some cookies, fudge, brownies, muffins... guess she's gonna have to 'taste-test' these. Y'know, just to make sure that nothin's wrong with them. Wouldn't want Cayde or his little birdie to get sick. A small price to pay for her new guardians. She looked up at Milo and hummed, "Well if you ever need someone to test these treats, then I'd be happy to volunteer myself." She did a goofy little salute to show how serious she was in volunteering. What? Can't blame a gal for trying!
Where was she? Oh right, advertising their courier services. "Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself to current and potential customers. Therefore if ya need anythin' delivered, I'm your gal!" Thumbs up and a lil grin to end it off.

Milo smirked at her volunteering herself and her little salute, [smear:#ff9696]"Well you're more than welcome to test a few things on the floor. I tend to put little samplings with everything. Wouldn't like it if anyone bought something from me and learned they didn't like it."[/smear:#a84747:0] Milo offered, once more gesturing to the wide variety of food items on display.
[smear:#ff9696]"Oh, so, you're like a delivery girl or one of those... what're they again?"[/smear:#a84747:0] Milo asked, snapping his fingers as he remembered the word, [smear:#ff9696]"Couriers. Right, couriers. Well, I appreciate the offer of your services, but I only deliver around Leamh. I don't have any contacts with people outside of here and I haven't left Leamh either."[/smear:#a84747:0] He explained, looking towards a map he had hanging on a wall.
The map showed the layout of Leamh Village with some markings on it. Some houses and buildings were marked with a little X. He was focused on the little Xs, before returning his attention to Nova, [smear:#ff9696]"Heh, sorry miss. I don't deliver outside of Leamh, so I don't think I'd be a good customer. Never tried to deliver outside of Leamh."[/smear:#a84747:0]

She pouted a bit when he admitted that due to the fact that he only did deliveries within Leamh, he had no need for a courier service. It made sense, but still a bummer. "Aw shucks, I was hopin' ya wouldn't say that. But I understand mister, it'd be hard to deliver your delicious treats before they got stale and what-not." Well, not with that strange contraption Cayde has, but no-one else knows about that, so she'll keep quiet about it. Peering at the map he pointed at, she scanned the entirety of it to figure out how many establishments/homes were here, "Huh, so that's how big Leamh is..." She muttered to herself. She better finish this convo then and continue what she came here to do. Looking towards Milo once more, she spoke, "Well then, that's all I had to advertise, so I should probably skedaddle! But if you ever need someone to help out in any way, I'm your gal!" She gave another grin at that exclamation, turning herself towards the entrance of the bakery, about to head out.

[smear:#ff9696]"Yeah... I already got a local delivery guy too. Helps me move stuff around the town. Some guy named uh... Cayde! That's his name. Cayde."[/smear:#a84747:0] Milo responded with a small shrug, [smear:#ff9696]"I really do appreciate the offer though. If you ever find a way to deliver outside of Leamh while preserving the treats, please let me know."[/smear:#a84747:0] He added. Then, he just... paused for a moment.
[smear:#ff9696]"Wait, didn't you say you were an apprentice of a guy named Cayde? Forgive me if I'm wrong, but uh... I doubt the chances of there being two separate Caydes that are also couriers."[/smear:#a84747:0] Milo asked, blinking a few times in confusion as he finally started piecing things together. In his defense, he had been baking all day, his mind was still running through ingredients and temperatures.
[smear:#ff9696]"Oh oh! Before you go, you mentioned you wanted to try some stuff here? Please! Feel free, I'm always looking for opinions on my products in order to make them better. Everything should have a little sample just for occasions like these. Help yourself."[/smear:#a84747:0]

Just as she was about to exit the store, she paused when Milo began to speak again and turned to look at him when he mentioned a guy named 'Cayde' being his delivery guy. She just gave him an incredulous look, almost as if she couldn't believe it took him so long to realize that the Cayde she spoke of was his courier. Good on ya Milo. "Yeah, Cayde's my new guardian, so I'm beginning to learn how to be a Courier! That's why I was here after all, for new potential clients." She informed Milo as the baker finally pieced together who she was talking about. She perked up however, when Milo insisted she take some free samples of his treats and critique them. Since he insisted, Nova may have picked up a few more treats such as brownies, cookies, and cake slices. Of course she'd have to share with Cayde, but he wouldn't be able to tell if she took a couple of bites.
"Thank you Milo! Hope your pie-baking goes well!" She gave him a little wave as she walked out the door and back into the town to talk to some more folks and get more clientele.
