With fog covering the approach, Wolf took the time to crouch low. His eyes shut and the world became sharper in definition. The warrior breathed in deep. Like when he had hunted out Asmodai, everything became marked to him. The plant life, the terrain, and every living thing inbetween. He could see the birds and smaller rodents, and further ahead in a sturdy compound he found himself tracking an assortment of humanoid targets. There's no doubt. Those are the targets. Wolf thought. "Asmodai, listen very closely..." Wolf spoke in hushed tones, not wanting to lose the element of surprise just yet. "I'm going to describe our surroundings, the number of forces we're up against, and their positions." Prey sense was not like xray vision, but as a skilled hunter, the knight could track the scents by intuition. Doing that illuminated the world to him in ways that normal vision could not.
The warrior relayed the positions of their enemies in great detail, and pointed out potential vantage points Asmodai could utilize. Already the young knight was beginning to plan up strategies. Going in full throttle would waste the advantage the fog provided them. If possible, Wolf wanted to use that to the fullest potential while they still had it. At the very least it would allow the duo to thin the herd. Once the young man finished relaying the information, his eyes opened, and the world returned to normal, only the faintest hints remaining as faint outlines in his vision.
"So, I see a few ways to do this. If we split up, you could take overwatch positions and take pot shots. Alternatively, you could use your stealth to your advantage to take some down along the highest points of the compound. Use those as your position. Now, the bounty states Detain or Eliminate, so we can take them alive. If you have the opportunity, I won't have any issue with doing so, as long as it doesn't put you at risk." The knight stood up and flexed his fingers against the hilt of his blade. "The other way we can do this is by sticking together. It'd put you closer to the front lines but we could better watch one another's backs. While you make your decision, I'm going to head to the wall and try to probe a way to sneak inside."
"Don't get caught."
With the memory of the bandit positions in mind, Wolf walked carefully up to the compound. The young man took position up against the rock wall and sucked in a breath. He judged the idea of using prey sense once more to double check his surroundings, but using that always put him at a disadvantage. Sensing the world around him required him to dull his other senses, slow his movement, and it took up all of his focus. Well, might as well take advantage of it while I'm not in the thick of it. He considered, shutting his eyes once more for one final refresher.

"I'll take overwatch, keep you covered from the high ground" Asmodai replied, clambering up and nocking an arrow to his bow "Just call your targets and I'll take em out"

All seemed pretty still for the most part. They didn't appear to be noticed at all, at least that's what it felt like. The two definitely seemed to have time on their side as there was no sudden alarm or anything that hinted their position was given away. One of the mages inside seemed to take notice though. A soft "Hmm...?", sounding as their attention was roused towards the new souls outside their hideout. "Two outside... They're not moving yet though... You two over there, make a round throughout the hideout. We don't want to deal with intruders."The two mages seemed to be on the move now, but didn't go outside to give much of anything away for now. The world once more became illuminated. Every spark of life had its color. Wolf could see Asmodai moving to a higher position. Calling shots was a nice thought- but not possible within the depths of the fortress. So he'll take care of the ones outside, at least. Hopefully he's practiced enough to be able to... His thoughts trailed. Asmodai wasn't the only one moving. Two scents, tracking around the perimeter. Inside, still, but moving with purpose. Though practically blind, the warrior slowly tracked along the wall. Carefully picking his way and moving with quiet deliberation. Fingertips danced along the surface, touching and sensing out details, stirring up the old musty scent of wet rock to further deepen his knowledge. His fingers found a change in depth, and the scent stirred instead to old wood, instead of cold stone. Lower, metal. A door and it's handle.
Crouching low, the mage let the scents of the two mages within pass, as his fingers danced along the surface of the door. Probing quietly. Gently. Discerning the best way to properly open it. Unfortunately, the dampness of the fog disrupted proper study. He got an idea, but it was hard to truly tell. The knight watched the scents and studied them, taking hold of the handle. He tugged upon the door. It didn't budge. Tugged again. Still stuck. It was then he realized the downside of the fog. The damp wood had swelled and stuck fast into the frame.
Sucking in a breath, the warrior pulled as hard and careful as he could. Unfortunately, the door did not agree with his idea of stealth, and lurched with an audible groan. Wolf ducked down just behind the door, allowing it to swing open ever so slightly. Watching. Waiting. Sensing. Studying the scents and keeping them marked. How would they respond? Had he given himself away already? Downfall caused by a door of all things. The warrior gave a flick of his wrist, swirling and solidifying the water in the air. The mist turned frigid, droplets turning to flecks of frost and combining, amassing, ice growing until it turned into a physical, frigid form.
A frozen wolf took form and its master commanded it back, keeping it out of sight and slightly back enough that the frost and cold wouldn't be noticed from the doorway. It obeyed its master without any verbal component, understanding the requirement for silence and stealth inherently. There was significant risk to blow the whole thing right from the get go if they weren't properly cautious. Well... blow the ability for stealth, that was. Admittedly, Wolf was not a man who cared either way about if stealth was blown or not. However, he was a tactical man, and preferred to utilize every advantage he could. He wasn't about to burn that just yet.

"Who should I take out first? Or is that wolf going in first?" Asmodai whispered. hands shaking slightly at the prospect of fighting a group as well prepared as this, but determined to carry his weight all the same.

Whoever sent these two wasn't very insightful as to where the intruders were. All they knew is that there were intruders and that they were here. And that was bad. The two seemed to be new meat, not that Alec would really detect that. They were just fresh recruits there who wanted to be granted power the higher ups of this band had.
Neither had the sensory abilities so all they had to reference was what limited sight they had through windows and the minimal light of the night. The moon was dark, starting the cycle as a new moon, leaving the two completely hidden unless they do something very obvious.

Unheard. Somehow, Wolf had managed to pry the door open without drawing any attention. The men simply walked past without another thought. And... relatively close together too. The warrior ended the spell and with careful precision, crept through the door after his prey. Slow. Steady. Every step was taken with deliberation. Both the guards were obviously greenhorns. They moved close together, side by side, with little regard for their surrounding. Lazy. Uninformed. Uncaring.
Perfect prey.
The wolf's swift and silent steps padded behind the two men, using their ignorance to his advantage. Not wanting them to get too far, the knight made his move. Given their inexperience, these men weren't a threat. Likely, they hadn't even been here for that long. Chances were, they could still potentially have some redemption left for them. Bad circumstances leading them to this path, or other possibilities. Wolf had seen them all before. Debt, anger, a search for freedom. People going down a bad path because life forced them too. Whatever the situation, they wouldn't pose enough of a challenge to warrant lethal force. So he'd go a different route.
Duo's were tricky to take care of. Unless you had very light armor and were specifically kitted out for the type of situation required of them, when you took down one, the other was bound too notice. Side by side was typically the worst of that bunch due to the fact that you increased the risk of being seen from the peripherals if you weren't careful. However, there was one exception. One key exception that fit this situation to a T.
These two were walking way too close together. Practically shoulder to shoulder. Wolf didn't have to worry about battering both of them with separate weapons because he had the advantage of being able to batter them with the one thing they least expected; Each other. In short, he was going to beat a motherfucker with another motherfucker.
Descending upon the hapless guards, the knight lunged upwards, both hands clasping around their opposite ears. With one, swift, hard motion, he slammed their skulls together. Colliding them with enough force that while it wouldn't kill them, it would daze them long enough to finish the job- if they hadn't already been knocked out by the sheer blunt force of each-others heads. Gloved hands over each mouth, Wolf dragged his prey back out the door and finished his work by tying them up and gagging them. For good measure, he swept his icy gaze around and dragged them back from the perimeter. The knight would not let them be freed by their cohorts. Sorry boys, the man thought, you're going to have a bit of a career change in your immediate future.
Silence returned, and the knight returned back to the wall. He kept low, behind the door and out of sight. Once more the air flowed around him. Sensing, waiting, preparing to see if there was going to be a response. Would they notice? Were they safe? Or did somebody hear the colliding of greenhorn skulls?

Asmodai's mind was blank, save for the one thought on his mind that drove him forward with careful purpose. He had a job to do, and the fear of failure- of death, weighed heavy upon his shoulders. What would happen if they were caught? Captured? The hunter had to swallow his fear, ease those thoughts out of his mind. They would serve no purpose other than to shake his resolve. No thoughts. Only one, single purpose. That is what he dedicated his mind towards, though he felt a slight twinge of anticipation as he watched Wolf knock out the two guards: it had sounded like a very solid blow, though he decided not to fire out of risk of alerting their quarry and instead settled for scanning for targets, slowly knocking an arrow to his bow as to not give away his position by disturbing any of the bushes he was currently nestled in. Now he just needed a good target....there. Twenty-five or so yards away, one of their scouts in the watchtower: he didn’t seem to be looking too closely in Asmodai’s direction, and the young Ranger couldn’t exactly risk him spotting Wolf or himself before their attack was done “Sorry about this in advance, but I can’t have you alerting your friends...” he murmured, slowly pulling the string back and, with a calm exhale, releasing it from his grasp.

The two made a sound but it was from the shock of a sudden touch before there was a solid noise as their heads were forced against each other at a force strong enough to knock them out. Neither would wake soon. "Oh... Hmm..." The surveyed movement of the two seemed to pique a mage's attention once again. They weren't dead, yet. Their souls, tiny blips in the eyes of this mage, dropped slightly and then they appeared to be moved to a spot and then remained there for the duration while the other two intrusive souls continued to make their way through. "You two. Sift out these intruders. Do better than the idiots before you. They appear to have gotten caught.", that was assuming the mage's readings were right. The one mage Asmodai caught standing guard didn't seem to notice the arrow flying in. It found a new home in their arm, causing them to scream out in pain and look at the arrow, head flicking in the general direction of the duo before catching a glint of Alec's armour from the light of a torch near them. Though his white hair and red companion made them stick out even more. The mage standing guard then scrambled down from their spot, finding difficulty in doing so and reaching to clutch their arm and lose their footing. The mage landed on the bad arm only to let out another scream as the arrow was now poking through his arm and grazing a bone. What an absolute hazard. A pair of mages stepped carefully, seemingly taking an alternate route that looped back through the door and hall Alec stepped through. They were warned to be careful, so this pair of mages decided to play a small little game to see if they can snuff out the intruders. "My my dear sister, we seem to have some troublemakers here.", a male's voice came out. It was light and airy, but followed by a similar tone that had a hint of toxic sweetness. "Yes, dear brother. It seems we have a couple of pests in our abode, doesn't it?"The sound of that one screaming guard seemed to wake another napping from another point. They scurried over to the fallen mage, checking them over and trying to figure out what their scrambled and panicked screaming and flailing was about. Though the movements and verbalisations were too erratic for the mage to really figure out anything and instead they were trying to straighten the guy out to get a coherent sentence out of them so they can find out where the flying fuck this arrow came from. Alright. That screaming didn't sound good. Already the wind was carrying the scent of blood with it, and though the distance and fog obscured what was going on, he knew that they weren't going to have much time left. Sickeningly sweet voices, hushed and putrid attacked the knight's ears, but despite their best efforts to hide, their scents still gave their positions away. Unlike the bleeding man, the duo was closer. They were not affected by the dense fog.
The wolf knew exactly where his prey was.
Crouching low, the man made sure each movement was calculated and cautious. Each breath, deep and slow. The earth shifted under foot as the man became aware of himself. His body. The way his muscles tensed and moved. All focus went from his outward senses, and instead looked inwards. To his legs. His arms. Breath in. Breath out. The Wolf felt his mana ebb and flow through his veins, his muscles, his tendons. Like a spring pulled taught, each careful step revolted against his body as he stood. Not yet. Carefully picking his way around the door, the young knight fought the magic, but only for a moment longer.
As soon as he rounded the wooded frame, all bets were off.
Cracking the ground underfoot, Wolf launched forwards in one single motion. Let loose, the warrior charged faster than his armor would normally allow for. Faster than would be anticipated. Around the bend, down towards the hallway his prey so desperately hid behind. Fist drawn, cocked, ready, gleaming eyes burned down towards his targets. Then, with a flash of movement equally enhanced by his magic, Wolf launched his fist forwards. While it moved, the air around his arm turned frigid. Water froze into tiny crystals, then gathered more and more. On his skin. On his armor. In the air. The whole move was faster than most minds could process unless one was specifically trained to look for it.
The result was a stream of ice, fired forth to, hopefully, seal one of the siblings to the wall. Then, with any luck, before the other could react, the knight slammed his other fist into the ground to send a straight shot of ice along it towards the other sibling's feet. If it worked, if they were locked into place, then with one fluid movement the wolf would repeat the same motion as he'd done towards the first, in hope to lock the second just as before.
That was the plan. A truly hopeful one that required a very specific sequence of events, and heavily relied on the effects of the speed enhance spell. Given it not only enhanced his agility, but also the speed of attacks, the knight had no choice but to rely on his own skill and dumb luck to get him through.
If it didn't work, or if one was left freed, then Wolf would have no choice but to take a defensive stance. The man didn't want to end lives. Not yet. Not unless he had to. But that being said- should he have to take a life, he would not hesitate to do so. Sibling bond be damned. Fist banged on the shield, there would be no mercy.
But, in the opposite case, if Wolf's gambit actually succeeded and he had them trapped, then the warrior would place his hands on both their mouth and seal them with ice to prevent further shouts. Then, with speed enhance cancelled, the downside to the spell required a quick rest, lest his muscles give out on him.

[smear:#0cfce5] "Damn!"[/smear:#0ff0de:0] Asmodai exclaimed, swiftly moving from his cover to get a new position to cover Wolf as he charged in: if he hadn't been so nervous they probably would've still been unnoticed. Putting his embarrassment aside for the moment he notched an arrow. aiming at one of the guards now looking for him on the wall.
Hopefully if he could keep them distracted Wolf would be able to exploit that distraction and cause some mayhem within the compound. "Lets see if you can find me now..." he muttered, slowly pulling the string back and inhaling simultaneously before releasing the arrow at the closest guard.
Not even waiting for the sound of an impact or a shout that would indicate a miss or that they'd seen him, the Archer swiftly disengaged and sprinted to another position, intentionally kicking up some snow so they would follow his path and not focus on whatever it was that his partner was doing.
