Name: Densetsu School of Shadows
Founder: Densetsu (Kin)
Territory: Bloodspeckled Keep (Main branch), sub branches spread out in all regions
Information: The first essence of the school and its teachings came from an assassin who named themselves Kin, with a specially cultivated method they wished to share with others to keep the craft alive and make it grow. It started off as a small subgroup of assassins that banded with them.
They took on the title as shinobi, those who befriend the shadows and stay downwind before the strike. This school is allied with the Shinkoku School of War in many respects, but rival in others.
Together, they managed to craft specialized tools and attire unique to the group and follow a series of teachings established within the group.
The teachings go as follows:
-Keep to the shadows. Erase any essence of your presence as much as possible.
-Kill silently and quickly. If the target needs to be alive, attempt to make sure that any wounds on them are not fatal.
-Keep your senses sharp, and your abilities sharper.
-Always be ahead of your enemy, ensure control of the battle.
-Never show weakness or emotion during your mission.
There is a ranking system within the school, which can indicate the level of bounties they are capable of taking on solo or within a group. The level caps indicate the optimal maximum affinity of an enemy the shinobi should be able to handle.
Rank - Advancement - Solo cap - Team cap
S - Master Shinobi - 8 - 10
A - Advanced Shinobi - 6 - 9
B - Teacher, Graduated Shinobi - 4 - 8
C - Tenured Student - 2 - 6
D - New Student - 1 - 4
To ensure safety of their ranks, the bounty cap level (out of 10) is set to keep a high success rate and low fatality rate. Teams are typically set up with a group of 3 (B rank and up) or 4 (D and C rank) with the 4th member being of B rank and up.
Apprenticeships can be taken on by A and S rank members, often taking a single student at a time and giving them personalized teachings as well as passing on specially crafted and more-exclusive spells to their student if it is not offered by the school or locked behind a clan bloodline.
Restrictions: All enchantments on clothing that relate to the school are applied under contract. When the contract is broken for any reason, the enchantments are no longer valid to the user.
