Spell name: [Passive] Honed Weapon
Spell Main Element: War
-Spell Sub Elements: N/A
Affinity Strength: 1
Function: Through relentless training and mastery of their affinity, war mages craft themselves into living weapons. As comfortable with a blade as they are an axe, and equally lethal unarmed. War mages of this type have naturally higher endurance, and heightened reflexes and senses from a lifetime of training. Of course, war mages are not infallible, nor are they indestructible. However, even the lowest affinity can take substantial damage in comparison to a mage of a different affinity. Depending on the affinity, a war mage can take significantly reduced damage and stay in the fight longer.
Availability: Open
Spell name: Melanokinesis [Ink Manipulation]
Spell Main Element: Water
-Spell Sub Elements: N/A
Affinity Strength: 1
Function: While most water mages are able to control water in all states, some are more purpose built. Those who practice ink manipulation are able to magically summon and manipulate ink, bending and shaping it just like normal water. While many hydromancers can manipulate ink with enough practice, it is a different form of manipulation, as they in turn lack the ability to create ink like melanokinetic mages can. Just as well, ink castors themselves are unable to manipulate water in its raw state.
Availability: Open
Spell name: Ink Fade
Spell Main Element: Water [Ink]
-Spell Sub Elements: N/A
Affinity Strength: 6
Function: The castor reduces their body to a stream of ink, jetting forwards to a new area up to 4 meters away. During this time, they cannot receive damage from normal weapons, nor can they attack in turn. Further, the castor can slip through even the smallest of cracks, so long as the space behind is large enough to fit their body. This ability is purely mobility based, meaning the castor cannot remain in the same position
Availability: Kayne Variant Only
Spell name: Nullifying Slash
Spell Main Element: Arcane
-Spell Sub Elements: N/A
Affinity Strength: 6
Function: Channeling raw arcane magic into a particular focus, the castor cleaves through the targeted spell, cancelling its ability so long as the castor's arcane score is higher. The focus required to cast this nullification heavily taxes the castors mana, and cannot be cast more than once unless the castor is affinity 9 or above. Further, the nullifying slash must make some sort of contact with the spell in question. The types of spells able to be nullified are limited to terrain modification spells, certain illusionary spells, and spells that directly attack a target. Unless the spell is able to be 'cut,' it cannot be nullified in this manner.
Availability: Open
Spell name: Ink Cleave
Spell Main Element: Water [Ink]
-Spell Sub Elements: Arcane
Affinity Strength: 4
Function: The castor gathers up a mass of ink around their weapon, using it to enhance their swings and to provide an elemental bonus to their attacks. With each swing, a damaging after image remains behind for a few moments, strands of ink trailing and extending the weapon's attack. Each attack expends a small amount of mana to sustain the spell, and upon ending the spell, any lingering afterimages dissipate.
Availability: Kayne Variant Only [See Hydro Cleave]
Spell name: Sword of Ruin, Inkbound Misery
Spell Main Element: Water [Ink]
-Spell Sub Elements: Arcane
Affinity Strength: 10
Function: The castor condenses a substantial amount of their mana, prying free a writing mass of violent, vulgar ink condensed into the form of a blade. The magic imbued in this weapon is malicious, each slash violently rending the flesh and leaving an inky after image in its wake. Each cut tears at the target in such a manner that wounds are substantially worsened, as tendrils of ink catch and rip. Sustaining the construct takes immense focus and the substantial hit to the castor's mana reserves means this spell is not one that can be used for long periods. It is a spell meant for deft hands, utilizing brutal, decisive strikes.

Spell name: On Raven Wings
Spell Main Element: Water [Ink]
-Spell Sub Elements: N/A
Affinity Strength: 10
Function: Using ink manipulation, the castor creates and condenses it upon their form, twisting it into sleek, nimble armor, and summoning forth grand, blackened wings. The defensive increase is minor, however the boost to maneuverability is substantial. Passively enhancing their own movements by controlling the joints of the armor, both movement speed and attack speed are increased, with the added bonus of flight. Sustaining the armor drains mana for every round the ability is active, and takes practiced focus to maximize the bonuses it offers.

[Training]
Spell name: Eviscerate
Spell Main Element: War
-Spell Sub Elements: N/A
Affinity Strength: 5
Function: The user floods their weapon with raw war energy, using it to utterly shred through their target brutally. This is a ferocious and barbaric spell, neglecting any sort of refinement for pure, unrestricted violence. Many casters wind up coating themselves in the viscera of their victims, and only those who dedicate themselves to the art of slaughter have been known to utilize this skill.
